Tip of the hat to Sheriff Jim Wilson for the photo.

ABOMINATION!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonder whose grip angle they used, JMB or Gaston'?
-
Is it real or just Caspian parts roll stamped with the logo and a few grip panels.
Seems that even Perfection needs to make a profit!
BTW....Hitler was Austrian!

I wish!.. I need a SA trigger, and the grip angle of a 1911 is perfect. I have smaller hands that make a 1911 diameter/shape just work.. Accurate Point (retention position) Shooting is a snap with a 1911, for me. If I had the reliability and capacity of a G-21 in a 1911 package, I'd give up my Kimber in a heartbeat..
Blasphemy..

That's been floating around the Internet for over a year now. Great Photoshop job.

BLASPHEMER! You are hereby excommunicated from 1911dom for ever.

Nothing special. Looks like it is just some markings that have changed.
External controls are still the same which would indicate it's still only a 1911 on the inside too. ;D ;D

Well, I do have to admit it would be the best looking Glock in production.
Start with a Glock 21 and wrap it up to look/feel like that and you will have something.
Performance and reliability of a Glock and the look and feel of a 1911 ;D ;D

Look at it this way - that is the only way Glock could get the grip angle right.

At one time there was a third part Glock frame manufacturer and they I believe they did make one with a 1911 grip angle. I'll see if I can find any historic info.
Here is the one I was thinking of. It does offer a 1911 grip insert for it's frame. The frames are steel, aluminum or titanium and are replacement frames for Glocks. Now you can have a Glock and make it as heavy as a 1911.

I also found this from Lone Wolf. Seems to be a polymer frame with the feel of a 1911 grip angle...so the ad says.

I would question the wisdom of "just" changing the grip angle since that effects the angle the rounds are presented to the chamber.
It could lead to some severe feed issues.

That would be a consideration.
It is possible it might still work...and it is possible the angle of the magazine well would not need to be changed as much as the grip angle...giving a non-concentric mag well. There is a lot of "dead space" in a standard Glock grip so some canting of the mag well in the grip would be possible....rather, keeping the mag well in the same or close to the same orientation as possible while shifting the grip angle around it.
-
I think only the backstrap is a differnt angle on those frames. They eliminate the hollow part.
-
Both good answers.
I'm not against the idea, but I would want to test it strenuously before I trusted it.
-
Never checked the grip angles before...don't have a problem with the Glock....but when I did compare them, there is not much if any difference. It could easily be changed without changing the mag well angle. But there is a pronounced difference in the grip at the top back. The Glock does have nearly an inch less "depth" than the 1911. This is comparing a G23 and a Government Model Series 70.

there are more then a few companys out there that will reshape your glock grip. most use a combo of heat and machine work.
