pulled from the post I made in Sept.

I like Perry too, always thought he was smarter than the press, like GWB, dumbed him down to be...But his numbers are going to be hard to get back up....

Damn shame, the game is rigged regarding political elections.

Too bad we can;t use the Lib method, of voting early and voting often...

Yeah.. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to give up on him.. I was watching yesterday where he had Bobby Jindal out with him in Iowa and Jindal had to remind him what was in his tax plan.. He can't comport himself like that and win anything. It stinks, too. He's a good man, and I still think has sense enough to do the job. I still wonder if the back surgery, and Vicodin that comes with it, has his head so messed up..
Been dealing with that one for many years now, myself, (as if that wasn't already pretty evident  :-[). What's worse is that my other horse in the race is being disassembled by all the little elves, as we speak..

Don't cry for Perry, cry for Paul. The governor of Iowa has all but conceeded the state to him, but says to ignore it. He fears it will make Iowa "irrelevant" if the wrong guy wins. Basically retail democracy only is legitimate if the establishmen candidate gets the nod. Now, I'm not a Paulite, I'm conflicted about the guy for the same reason everyone else is. But it pisses me off to no end to hear the party bosses say that if the people don't pick the "right" candidate to ignore their vote and focus on who came in second instead. If I lived in Iowa I would crawl naked through broken glass to vote Paul, just to say FU to this mindset. Its makes you think the man has a point. If you get too far off the one party reservation you get shanked. The election has already been decided to be between "acceptable" differences of opinion and your participation is window dressing.

No offense to Iowans, specifically our favorite NRA Pistol instructor but, Iowa is irrelevant as it pertains to the general election.  Three million people in the entire state can be overwhelmed by a mid sized city in the northeast or southwest.  It's all merely perfunctory at this point!

With the exception of being the first state to hold Presidential caucus' or primary, they can't deliver a President with their votes.

Yes, I understand they're the "heartland" and all and I certainly wish I lived there rather than here!

my .02 which means I owe you a buck or two!
