Title: House Caves ...
Post by: MikeBjerum on December 22, 2011, 04:30:11 PM
Those are the exact words and the intent of the headline I just read.  The House has come up with a plan to pass the Senate's can kicking move for a two month extension.  Pres. BHO and Mr. Reid gave a nod to this, and Pres. BHO accused the House Republicans of playing Washington politics.  Excuse me while I depart from my normal level of respect:  Does this idiot forget that the House of Representatives was the first to pass a bill, and they were the ones that gave him the most of what he was asking for including a full twelve month extension?

I had heard some rumblings during stops yesterday, and read some things in the local daily rag, so last night I turned on Fox to see what was going on.  The conservative talking heads were actually calling the House leadership stupid.  Not because they refused to pass a stupid band aid bill, but because they were not playing politics to keep the sheeple (my word) happy.  I do not elect people to keep us happy!  I elect people to do the right thing!  The right thing is not to pass a stupid two month extension that contains several other items that will take more than two months to put in place and that might be obsolete in two months.

I know that Washington DC has been nothing but politics for decades, but the last two years are horrible at best and illegal on average!

In case you did not catch my stance:  The House should have told the President of the United States of America that they passed a full bill that included a twelve month extension on the tax, and two years (I believe) on unemployment, plus several other real job items in it.  The House should have included a message that they refuse to even debate a band aid while the solution is still on the table, and the Senate can get their lazy butts back to Washington DC and do their jobs.  I am furious with everyone involved with this band aid approach, and I will be writing several letters to my elected officials to make sure they understand my disgust with everyone of them that made this possible.

+5 (My entire office is reading over my shoulder)

You can rest assured that Enzi, and Barrasso will be getting and earful for Christmas. I cannot find the vote that Lummis cast on this so I will hold my ire until I can confirm her vote. She will be hearing from me about standing firm on the principles for which she was elected.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Just think, in 59 days,.....there abouts,.....we can do this ALL over again....The Senate hasn't passed an annual budget in 3 years....

2012 is an election year,....time is running out for these f-ups in Congress...(of both parties),....Make BHO and the Dem led Senate, shelf or veto every Pro-job, pro-tax, pro-the right thing,.....

End this BS,.....and do your (insert expletive) job as Legislatures. Even BHO stated he wanted a year long budget....Yet 90% of the Senate,....just kicked the can for 60 days.....

Gee,.....good job asshats...

Did you ever feel that you should have gone into politics? You don't need to do your job just crab about the other guy/gal not doing his/hers. And to think I actually worked for 30 odd years. Man was that a mistake!

The spin is unbelievable.  So many sheeple actually believe what bHO is saying.   I've almost get sick reading the moveon.org emails.

It's the "blame game".

Got to check on my senators and see what they voted and their stance on all of this.

What people don't realize, is that it's not a tax cut. There is just less money witheld from your paycheck. At the end of the year, you'll still owe the same amount. If you're used to getting a refund, it will be less or you'll have to pay. Since the operating capital comes from the monthly witholding, and that's being cut, you can expect IRS enforcement to be heavy handed, in the extreme, to those who are self employed and to business owners (sorry TAB). All those new IRS employees have to justify their jobs somehow.

Bingo!

And, the reason they did it this way last year is because the tax credits of 400 bucks the year before were being saved by people and not spent!  The .gov wanted people to go to WalMart and buy a new TV or something to stimulate the economy and it backfired!  This new "cut", which gives you another few bucks in your paycheck each week, gets spent immediately by the consumer because they don't realize it's a credit.

The .gov is manipulating it's citizens in an attempt to stimulate the economy!  Attaching the unemployment to the same bill is another issue!  Where are they getting the money to do all of this?

Anyones guess...

Sad part is, this "cut",....is just NOT raising it back,.....AND the cost of living and inflation, energy costs, food, etc,....is still eroding the middle class.....

The mortgage deduction, isn't factored like it used to be, and some assclowns want to do away with it all together.....

Great for a stagnant housing market.....These idiots are clueless.

Worse than that TW.  To pay for their "cut" they considered adding $15.00/month to new FHA mortgages this year!

What people don't realize is that it's not taxes, the "cut" is in FICA, in other words Social security, it's nothing to do with actual Govt revenues.

This is the one thing we pay into that comes directly back to us at some point.  There is waste and abuse in the SSI system, but it is one where we directly receive a return on our investment.  Why not cut other areas of taxation and spending ... Oooooops ... that is what the common sense folk have been saying for years and we can't cave to common sense  >:(
