I'm sure that some of you know by now that I served in Vietnam.
However, I should have told you that my brother served in the Navy flying over North Vietnam.

Ken is a humble kind of guy, (Like Me), and is shy about his war service.
But the truth be known, his exploits far surpass my humble experiences.
He eventually made quite a name for himself.
They even made a movie loosely based on his historic deeds.
Maybe you have see it.

You got me on that one, Steve. Thanks for the chuckle.
My outfit, who were the Minutemen, re-drew the squadron emblem and replace the rifle with a broom. We posted this picture on the cleaning storage closet door with the words, we clean anything, anytime, anywhere.
You'll have to use your imagination.

The issue weapon was an S&W 38 for a LONG time. 1911s tended to be personal weapons during the 60s. Some units did issue them but most were the 38s.
They now issue the M11 (Sig P228) and M9s (Beretta 92s) depending on what teh command ordered. TACAIR tends toward the M11s while Patrol and Cargo units tend for the M9s.
