Yes, that is all.
I am trapped, or at least it appears that way, behind the Iron Curtain in Illinois, but I do enjoy reading about the fun and other experiences people have with their SBR's, suppressors, and full autos.
Googling "what states allow suppressors?" got me to this link:

So do you guys want a NFA sub forum as Tyler suggested?
-
I don't think we need it.
-
It would make it easier for people looking for specific information.
I think it would be a good idea.
-
sorry...I didn't mean to whine to get my way, but....
as I have gathered from some of Michael Bane's blog posts, there seems to be a growing trend....a ground swell of sorts...for at least suppressors.
Some of that is obviously the effects of marketing campaigns by suppressor manufacturer's like Advanced Armament Corp and Surefire.
I would rather let people in the free-er states who actually own or can own NFA items to chime in with their experiences first if we need or could use a separate NFA sub forum here.
Sorry, I was just thinking out loud when I started this thread.

I think it's a good idea.
It gives a repository for NFA specific information, just like the "Cowboys" thread still does for SASS type subjects.
It would be the perfect place to discuss hows and wheres of NFA purchases, the ins and outs of technical aspects and alternatives such as trusts as opposed to simply buying an NFA item.
-
I agree. I love all things NFA. That is why I set up NFA trusts for people.
-
I am aware of a couple members, that have NFA access. I wish I had mine, but my C&R will have to do for now. Still regarding the crystal "clarity" of the ATF regarding Class III, SBR's, NFA Friearms, the costs, the trusts,....it may help folks get answers and post pics and vids of the
"good stuff".... ;D

Maybe you could write a post explaining how that works and the benefits over simply buying an NFA item.

I agree with setting up the NFA forum.

I agree also.

I think it would be a cool addition. I just had my first exposure to NFA items this week when I took my kids out shooting with some buddies from work. One of them had silenced .22 and 9 pistols as well as a SBR, kids had a helluva time and my guns got a good workout too.
Definetly have a few NFA items on my short list.
