I submitted my resume the other day and need all the help I can get.

I don't have any pull or ins outside of with our local Friends rep, but just for gossip - what did you apply for?
Good Luck!!!

A marketing position. Not too different than what I did in the photo industry, only no cameras.

Throw some names around from here at DRTV,...MB, Marshal'ette, Marshall, Rob Pincus, The Janich, you can phrase it eloquently;
For Example: Under prerequisites and experience:
"Numerous interactions on the DRTV Forum, with prominent professionals in both the firearms, and self-defense industry, involving in depth discussions of tactics, weapons, products, and situational awareness, with many members of the firearms community."
See? Your not lying or anything,....just selling yourself....it's marketing right?
I'll be here all week....Tip your waitresses and bartenders.... ;)

On a more serious note, there has to be a local chapter of the NRA-ILA in your town, google-fu the local NRA folks in your town. Send them an email, introduce yourself, and work your way up to the Regional/State level, and introduce yourself. Nothing long and drawn out, just start getting into the inner sanctum of the NRA...Remember all the folks you meet along the way, and pass it along to the folks in Human Resources.....Having a local contact(s) with a National Org, can be a shiny red star, that stands out.
Don't give up, it may take a week or two to start making headway, but it just might pay off.
Best of Luck!!!
