Title: Super Shorty
Post by: gunman42782 on January 07, 2012, 04:17:38 AM
Well, I got to shoot one of these today:

http://www.serbu.com/top/superShorty.php

Dang if I ever want to again!  First shot was with a 3 inch shell, and it hurt like heck.  Second shot was with a 2 3/4, and this time I pushed on the forward grip, and it was not near as bad.  My right wrist and hand still hurt.  It may mess up my love life for awhile!

So we're looking at 800+ for a 2+1, 12 ga? Good for a grin, but a lotta cash..

Very true, particularly when a hacksaw, a bit of solder and a $300 Stoeger will do the same job quicker, albeit with one less shot. Stupid laws..... >:(

Would love to have the Ithaca auto and burglar.  A friend of mine has one, just need to get to Alaska to shoot it, and some of his other toys including an original H&R Handy gun, a Marbles Game Getter, and some full auto and cans.

Pictures of the above here way down the page.

I wonder why they don't have any dimensions on the machinegun parts.  Not like anyone would make them because that would be against the law.
If you outlaw machine guns only outlaws would have machine guns.

Wait, who has the machine guns?

IRS, DHS, ATF, DEA, and a lot more alphabet agencies.....

Can the Serbu feed & fire the mini-shells from Aguila?....if so, it could change it from a two-shot to a four-shot & be easier in recoil to boot.....

Should be able to, it's a pump so not pressure sensitive.
Might get jams from the short shells having room to move during the loading cycle.
We should get MB to try this out.
For that matter any one with a pump could try it.

No kidding guys, it has been a week now, and every now and then my hand still hurts.  I wouldn't shoot that dang gun again for love or money.

These things always struck me as things that were made just because they could be, without regard for practical purpose.  A niche item at best, but if it brings fun to people, then I say the more the merrier!!!  Happy Shooting!

I notice he made the video of shooting it but since then it has  not been mentioned as a "range gun".
Maybe it just brings back bad memories of the Flu he had at the time  ;D
