Title: What thickness of leather??
Post by: Boothill Bob on January 09, 2012, 03:11:36 PM
Howdy pards..
I wonder what thickness you have on the leather for the avenger and pancake? On this one I used 2.5-3mm leather and it was easy to
bone and form. I was making one more today and that leather was from the same hide but 3.5-4mm and it come out like sh*t  >:( It was hard to work with and allmost impossible to form, dont want to show it here, will sell it to some blind guy..

I use 8-9 ounce leather for my Avenger and Pancake holsters.

single layer I use 8/9 oz. If I make a double layer holster it's 6/7oz.
