Title: Wait times are killing me!
Post by: capbyrd on January 10, 2012, 07:47:00 AM
I have a form 1 pending and I'm starting to get close.  My calculations put me about a month out.  But its like Christmas.  The closer I get, the more impatient I get.

I've been told by multiple dealers that a trust buying an NFA item reduces the wait time by about 60 days compared to an individual purchase.

How long from when you submitted it to when you expect to get it?

That used to be true years ago but not anymore.  Check out the reports section of NFATracker.com to get an idea of wait times of all types.

I mailed it late August.  It went pending on September 20th.  From what I am seeing from other people, I expect that I will be getting an approved form back around the middle of February.

The wait just got a little bit shorter.  Called and checked the status and it was approved today.  Very excited to get this gun put together.

Received your item yet?  If so how long did it take?  I have two in the works.  One for a .40 S&W, one for a .308.  Got my canceled checks back two months plus a bit ago.  I try not to dwell on them to much yet.

Rather than start a new thread I will post it here:
On September 19th 2013 I submitted my papers and $200 for an SBR lower stamp online and on Christmas Eve December 24th 2013 I received the approval e-mail and PDF attachment. Now I just wish the lower was back from the engraver.
