So, I broke a part on my 556 during field stripping. And it's the kind of part that *could* be a mfgr defect, but you have to figure most of the time is broken by operator error.
I am the type of guy that screams LOUD when I feel I've been screwed over by a company. And, well... as such, I should scream just as loud when a company takes care of me.
Sig Sauer just took care of me. They're sending me the part, gratis. No charge to me.
That's outstanding customer service.
And I think companies should be rewarded for being good, just as I think they should be punished for being bad.
Thanks sig.

That's good. Seems like they are making an effort to make it right.

I also own a 556, and like to clean it after use. Which part was it?
