Again, I keep hearing that Dave Sevigny is leaving Team Glock. ??? Been hearing that he is going to shoot for FN? Also heard he is going to start competing in 3-gun? Anyone else hearing or reading these rumours? If so, I see FN taking top slots in the upcoming competitions this year.

Bottom line - Jesse Hamilton's now ex-husband was caught having an affair with an underage girl who was daughter to friends of theirs (which is why he is an EX-husband). There were unfounded and unsubstantiated rumors and allegations while he was still shooting that season that Seveigny knew about the illegal affair and then morphed into that he participated somehow. He stopped competing for the rest of the year, posted to FB a detailed denial of any knowledge or wrong-doing on his part, and said it had nothing to do with his leaving Glock.
BTW, there has been nothing to date to substantiate the rumors against Seveigny, just petty, small minded people doing what they do best, which is to gossip and rumor monger. There is a reason the Bible equates gossip with murder.

Now that my 2011 season is over I wish to address what at least one person has referred to as "the elephant in the room". http://sassbrassnbullets.com/2011/09/08/elephant-in-the-room/
Please rest assured, I am as shocked as anyone regarding the accusations involving Billy Abbate and a fifteen year old minor. It has been incredibly hurtful to hear some people are speculating that I may have also been involved. Nothing could be further from the truth. Let me be clear: I am not a suspect, nor will I ever be. I also was not a witness to any inappropriate behavior between the two, nor did I have any reason to suspect much less know that Abbate was engaging in a secret and illegal affair with the minor girl.
I have heard criticisms that I somehow should have known about the secret relationship between the minor and Mr. Abbate. I don’t see how, especially when I was not told the truth about their “friendship”. In fact, the family of the minor and Mr. Abbate had a closer relationship than I ever did with either party. I have also heard rumors that I engaged in lewd or distasteful acts with the minor. Rest assured, these disgusting rumors are patently false. I don't know if a specific individual is purposely spreading lies or if people are just widely speculating that I must somehow be involved because of my recent departure from my old sponsor. Regardless, I want to set the record straight and hope this puts an end to these sickening rumors.
Throughout my eleven year association with my former sponsor (eight years of which I served as an employee), I was completely loyal to the company. I acted as a mentor to numerous shooting team members and built a winning record of 150+ major championship wins using products from this company. I am proud of what I have accomplished. Some have said that I am taking the rest of the year off. While I am done competing this season by choice, I will rise above this unfortunate incident and will work hard on building a brand that will endure, just like I did before.

I met her at the Pro Am in 2010, and she seems to be a genuinely nice person. A half hour is not a long term friendship, but there are "things" you pick up on that give you a feel for what a person really is - She passed the test, and at my age I was with her long enough to get over the drooling factor ;)

I would say that since Billy is what, 45 and Jessie is about 27 this year, she should find someone her own age!

While Jesse definately has my attention most of the time, what I find interesting is the number of revolving members of the Glock shooting team.
Sevigny had been the most stable but the entire team has changed over the last 5 years.
Julie G left for S&W
Jesse left, and is effectively "unsigned" except for Benelli 3-gun
Sevigny left for FN
I forget the other woman that was on the team before or where she went.

I agree with your list, but I don't put a lot of weight on Julie G. leaving. She grew up with S&W as her father was there. S&W not only got her started, but it was family in the pro shop. It was just a matter of time for her to experience the world before she returned to the fold.

Tyler Durden, I am friends with several people in the firearms industry on Facebook. Mr. Sevigney is not one of them. I am a fan of Team Glock and think it is a shame to lose a great shooter like him.
