Title: SUPERBOWL GOODIES!!! Let's Have Em'
Post by: twyacht on February 05, 2012, 08:39:39 AM
I enjoy Pork Baby-Back Ribs, Large baking/roasting pan, S&P the ribs, or Montreal Steak Seasoning, some apple-cider vinegar, wrap tightly in foil, and bake at 275 for 3 hours.
Remove add sauce of your choosing, I use Bone-Suckin' Sauce, take to a grill and slowly grill, basting away.....

Also slow cooked Lil' Smokies, with Brown Sugar, Honey, and a good mustard dipping sauce.

Fall off the bone ribs, and Proud Infidel Approved. After all it is a pigskin event..... ;)

What other stuff ya' like?

Oh yeah, I think I heard about it.  Couple of the NE area teams.  Funny how that area thinks the rest of the country should hang on their every whim.

I'm pretty tired of it personally.  For the last month, at least, every on-air moment is spend on the Patriots, Brady, Belichek, Gronks ankle, or something similar.  I'm watching the game out of duress!  Don't really care about the outcome other than to annoy my wife and her family at this point.

I said to my wife yesterday that with the exception of the Northeast, not too many other folks in the country care one way or the other!

Horse sh!t, the only reason other areas are less interested is because their teams weren't good enough .

I'm amazed they play the game even when Pittsburgh's not in it.  Huh.

Having said that, my other favorite team would be whoever's playing New England, so...Go Giants!

My wife just told me that by pure friction alone I have enough New Englander on me to root for the Pats!

It's still not going to happen though!

Oh yes!  It all started with Chuck Noll.

Pittsburgh has had 3 head coaches since 1969.  Talk about stability.

OK food....

We're doing store bought salsa with a black bean dip thing I made.  There will be salami, peperoni with cheese and crackers as well.  My BIL is grilling something on my grill at the moment he called "I'm not sure!" and I just picked up a FREE large pizza from the local Mexitaliangreco pizza/burrito/taco joint up the street.

Some local malted brew and a couple of drams of single malt are the accompanying beverages and the BIL has a sixer of 16oz PBR's that I haven't drank since my sophomore year in HS!

Should be a good evening for the "Puppy Bowl" on Animal Planet!

 ;D

THC was between episodes of the 1st WW, so I popped over to NBC for a second - they are closed-captioning the game in Spanish.

His wifey thinks otherwise and she may have a point!

I call that game like this..."The worst of the best beat the best of the worst!"

The AFC East is the weakest division in football right now.  The Jets are average, the Dolphins and Bills just suck!  How could the Patriots NOT win the division?

The Giants shouldn't have been there either but that's the way of the NFL!  Anyone can win on any given Sunday!  There were two far better teams sitting at home watching that game.

My opinion, which is worth next to nothing in todays dollars...

The AFC North had 3 teams in the playoffs, all of which were watching from home yesterday.  Any given Sunday is right.

Yea, it would been a far different scenario had the Steelers not gotten Tebowed!

I will say this about this season though!  I haven't watched this much football in a long, long time!  Being an NFC North (Central) guy for most of my lifetime, we don't get a lot of games out here in the east!

There was some NFC North excitement this season, too.  Detroit had some moments.

I have to add this from Facebook:

Yea, my Lions won more games this season than the last ten seasons combined I think!

I don't know why they're still in Detroit though!  It's not like anyone there can afford tickets to the game.  They should pack up and move to Grand Rapids.  Get Amway to build them a new stadium on the south end to make up for Gubmint Motors moving out of town.  Every game would be sold out, no doubt!

Make sure you stop by Marks Photo and Video while in Grand Rapids.  Tell Ted I said "Hi".

Will do!

Funny, my wife and I were just discussing a visit since I'm not working at the moment!  My brother still lives there as do all my childhood buddies!
