Went with the wife to the Eastern Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, PA yesterday. Not a whole lot of gun companies there, but we saw some nice stuff.
Mossberg had a booth. The Flex system is pretty cool. Got to play with it a bit. Their new tactical lever gun is really as ugly in person as it is in photos.

ATI had a booth, too. They had the new STG 44 rifle in the case, but the guy wouldn't take it out because it's one of only 2 in the country. Bummer.

S&W was next to Mossberg. My wife fell in love with the 627 snubbie. We are going to have to find a range that has one for rent.

Didn't get to take many pictures. So many people were there, and the show is so big. On a side note, Outdoor Channel had a booth at the show...a booth they shared with Comcast! I had a little cow, as our new place has Comcast, and the Outdoor Channel is not available. They asked me to fill out a comment card. That made me feel better.

BAC, did you get a chance to look at the M1 Carbine in .22? Can't remember who is making it.

No, I didn't see it there. It was at the NRA show in Pittsburgh last year. Got to see it then.

Love the S&W 6xx series, too. That's 8 rounds in a potent package.
Friends don't let friends do cable. And filling out a card that'll probably go in the round file back at HQ is about all they'll do for you. They're banking on you feeling better and all it cost them was a post card.

Had satellite once...once. Never again. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Plus, the bonus of not being able to watch TV when it rained. No thanks.
P.S. They charged me rent for the dish, the receivers and the remotes. It cost a whole lot more than they said it would. Did I mention not getting reception when it rained?

Couldn't have been DirecTV. When I call it rarely takes more than a few rings and I'm talking with a real person. A real person who has the knowledge and empowerment to effect changes to my account and my service. When I ordered an al-a-cart channel the rep turned it on while I was watching.
My DTV only goes out in very bad thunderstorms and it goes out about 2 minutes before they hit. I call it my early warning system. Turn off electronics and disconnect. I view it as a safety feature.
