To counter a boycott by anti-gun organizations, please patronize Starbucks Coffee today. If you can pay with a $2 bill to show support for the 2nd amendment. Or as I'm doing, print the "I Love Guns and Coffee" graphic and leave it on the counter.

Yer gonna need more than 1 $2 bill !

Starbucks might notice an upswing in sales and maybe they will credit it to pro-gun supporters rather than coffee becoming fashionable on Valentines Day, but I doubt the clerk will be moved much by a $2 bill or the Logo.
Corporate might notice an influx of $2 bills, but that isn't likely. I'm sure the local shops make their own bank deposits so a $2 bill looks just like 5 $10s....if it even makes it to the bank...the clerk will probably save them out for birthday presents for nieces and nephews...and the paper will the logo will most likely end up in the trash..

Blah, blah, blah ...
Not a one that is a good reason to not go out, support the business and make a statement.
The thing I like best is that Starbucks is not anti-gun, and they are not pro-gun. They have no official stance and just defer to the local laws and the Constitution. That is the way it should be!

I don't have a problem with Starbucks other than their prices and the fact that I can make a better cup of joe at home.
The only one in the area is inside our local Target store and I'm armed nearly everywhere anyway! The locals wouldn't have a clue what this is all about! I'll take my five bucks and spend it more wisely on ammunition.

You are right...but besides spending money there, do something that will let them know why they earned it. Mail or email someone at corporate who will care.
Send these folks the logo and let them know you support their business.

I like the company, but don't go there often as I can make as good a cup myself for a lot cheaper.
The whole idea of the $2 was just to get noticed. Granted, the local manager is the only one who will notice, but I betcha the that person will probably tell the regional manager and corporate about all the gun nuts that came in today.
I opted just to tell the clerk I was here today as part of the "buycott" to counter the boycott. She said she and the other employee (mostly high school or college age) knew about the concealed carry issue and that several people had also mentioned it as well today. She said she was glad I came in.
Here's my contribution:

I got mine this morning, but ther was no one behind me to pay it forward to. :(

If you try to pay with a $2 bill the cashier will probably think you are trying to pass counterfeit money.

I had planned on going today, but our local Starbucks is sixty miles away, and our roads are a slippery mess after a couple inches of high moisture snow yesterday.
I will stop in next trip and make note of my reason for the visit. I waste more than two dollars on crap, so why not make a statement with some.

I agree with you 100%. Peace and neutrality. Honest trade with all who wish to contract.

as to the complaint about their prices, I have found that their black coffee is cheaper and better than most gas stations now. (I had plenty of time to sample both going cross country) some gas stations are charging way too much for old burned coffee that tastes like ..... well, crap. Starschmucks medium sized cup (or whatever they call it) is under $1.50. not too bad.

I went into my local Starbucks the other day, for the first time ever, I might add. I did as was asked, and stopped at the bank and picked up a couple of $2 bills.
I asked for the manager, so that I could explain to him why I was there. I had my spiel already prepared when I got there. The funny thing was that the manager had no idea what I was talking about. He knew nothing of the original protest, or the counter protest I was representing. In fairness, this is in the middle of a medium sized city, so that doesn't surprise me. He wasn't even aware of the company policy on CCW, or lack there of.
I explained the protest of the anti guns, and why I felt it necessary to step into a Starbucks for the first time ever. He said he was going to look into it (which means he said that to get away, and never thought about it again ;-) ).
I bought a hot chocolate and went about my merry way, but my shirt smelled like coffee the rest of the day, LOL.

No Starbucks within 75 miles of here, but at least our friend Ed picked up the slack for me.........................
