Title: 2012 NRA Annual Meetings
Post by: BAC on February 26, 2012, 01:33:05 PM
Anybody going?

http://www.nraam.org/ (http://www.nraam.org/)

Got an email today about volunteering, but with our current financial situation it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it to St. Louis.  You never know, though.  So, anybody else planning on going?

I dunno.  What kind of quirks are in Missouri gun laws these days?  There handgun laws sucked 10 or so years ago.  Any better now?

Not making this one, but saving and planning for the God willing, "Post BHO" Convention in Houston 2013.

Or if BHO's re-elected, The First Annual Militia Convention of 2013...

Yeah, I'll be there with the Grandson.

Rasrus, if you think Missouri's gun laws suck try Illinois.

Not really sure what you consider "gun laws suck", but Missouri has some of the better gun laws, short of the states that allow unconditional carry. And they are getting better all of the time. The only additional laws that St. Louis can impose is, no open carry, and they do that, as many other urban areas in Missouri. Like Pecos says, compared to Illinois, we are lawless.  ;D

Yes, I'll be there. Just finished filling out my volunteer application and sent the final form tonight. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible.

Was hoping to, but the $$$$$ factor has reared it's ugly little head.

As far as their laws, I do know that Missouri honors my Iowa Carry Permit, so that, at least, is encouraging.  Also a helluva lot more than I can say for either m58 or Marshal'ette's home states.

Ten years ago Missouri did allow the open carry of firearms and still does. I see today that there is a bill in the Oklahoma legislature that would allow those with concealed carry permits to open carry. Yep, Missouri's gun laws sure sucked ten years ago.

I'll try to find your happy, handsome face but with my eyesight it'll be a miracle.

Has anyone heard if the NRA has gotten MO to allow CCW in the convention? I read somewhere that they were some questions about that.
