Is he out completely, or did he just lose a district?

He's out , but it sounds like he may move to another state and try again.

That's how I read it as well. When they start redistricting, sometimes it's hard to tell if they're out completely, or just lost some constituents to another Congressman.

That's why Bawny Fwank quit recently!  His long gerrymandered district just got redone and he knew he couldn't win again!

Another prodigal son of the Kennedy clan has stepped in and already garnered enough support to walk away with the election!  The problem there is he actually has less experience that Obama....

It's why Barney Butt Pirate went into national politics in the first place.
He defied State Senate President Billy Bolger and got his legislative district gerrymandered out of existance.

I'll plead ignorance to not following this as well as I should have. What are the chances a Republican, "Joe The Plumber" can pick up his seat? Does this guy have any chance?

Joe The Plumber..yeah I would vote for him if I lived in that district.  Heck, plumbers aren't afraid to get up to their elbows in s**t or to get to the root of any problems.  Just what is needed to survive in politics or Washington, D.C.!  Just might unplug the stalemate.

The talking heads on MSNBC were lamenting and damn near tearful for his defeat....

Look it up.

Isn't this the same thing that happened to Tom Daschle? That guy was everywhere, then he disappeared overnight as well.

Another tax cheating Democrat owned by Soros

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Daschle
He was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 1978 and served four terms. In 1986, he was elected to the Senate, becoming minority leader in 1994. Defeated for re-election in 2004, he took a position as a policy advisor with a lobbying firm, and also became a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress. He co-authored a book advocating universal health care.

Daschle was an early supporter of Barack Obama’s presidential candidacy, and was offered the position of Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services after the 2008 election. He was President Obama's nominee to serve as the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) in the Cabinet,[2] but withdrew his name on February 3, 2009, amid a growing controversy over his failure to accurately report and pay income taxes.[3] He is currently working for the global law firm DLA Piper.[4]
