My Wife and I saw Marty Robbins in concert in Arizona way back in the seventies. We sat about 10 ft. from him. He was great!

Great Marty Robbins song, awful they used it in Cowboy Bepop.
Rosa's Cantina is one of the all-time Greats!
Big Iron is no slouch either.
If you want modern Cowboy music, try Ian Tyson (post Ian and Sylvia) - saw him at the outdoor theater in Medora, ND 8 years ago, just him and 2 other guitarists - both first-named Gord. The Master, the Maestro, re-invented and re-invigorated the whole Western music thing after Nashville dumped us by the side of the road when they quit Country & Western and it became Country. The song was Navajo Rug, still a huge classic.
Also, Brenn Hill, RW Hampton, Don Edwards (almost as much of classic as Tyson), Joni Harms, and others too numerous to mention.
Updated: OMG, how did I forget to include Chris Ledoux. Sorry big guy, you were unique, and we miss you!
Ken Overcast too.

These mostly are some of my Texas local favorites.
If any of you can find it, the song GRINGO PISTOLERO, by Alan Wayne Damron is the quintessential shooters song, I have it, but can't put it up.

Haven't heard that song since my grandfather used to take me fishing and shooting in his blue Chevy truck, Better Days they were.
He was a border patrolman from 54-65, his work Jeep had the Buckshot rounds, and the Chesterfield Cigarettes. and from time to time a good bourbon in the glove box, right next to the old S&W revolver ( Big Iron)......
Thanks for the post(s) they are some of the timeless classics,...
