I'm using the killing of McCain-Feingold by the SCOTUS as the reasoning! As long as your speech isn't causing undue fear or danger to the public, etc.....
If I choose to call the POTUS an asshole to his face I should have that right!

And according to the United States Constitution that right is protected as long as you do not threaten him with bodily harm or lie. Being an asshole is a subjective term that describes your beliefs in him as a person, and that is protected. Just as Rush used certain words in the description of a woman of promiscuous behavior. He broke no laws, and his speech was protected because it was factual under common definition of the words and the acts. However, he broke the politically correct selective rules of whatever the hell they protect.

It is now too obvious to ignore, that the downward track this country is/has been on, is enabled and promoted by just about all of the politicians in office. Not just the Federal critters either. Local and State Representation is also a sham....
These Town Councils, City Commissioners, Mayors, Senators, Representatives, etc,... "we the people" elect, stab us in the back, or are otherwise elected by a blinded majority of useful idiots and don't pay attention anyway.
Any "decent" candidate elected to any office or political position, is either assimilated into the Borg, where "resistance is futile", or is ostracized and rendered impotent as a force of change, smeared, under-funded, and eventually replaced by someone who will "tow the line".
The days of Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, is buried somewhere in D.C. in an unmarked grave.
Agenda's of the Right and Left are proceeding against the "will" of the people that even do pay attention, do "attempt" to hold politicians to account, and when they do, are ridiculed as gun-totin', Bible thumpin', knuckle-draggin' racists, bigots, and homophobes. On the other side, it's Marxists, Socialists, Fascists, Communists, Far-Left Whack Jobs,....etc,....
Point being, the Political System has been rigged by those with the power, who make the rules. Like the phrase goes. Those with the gold,....it's political gold, and we are being played and have been for some time. "Vote The Bums Out,....Gets Us New Bums"......
The "chipping" away;;;; the "abridgements" on our very Constitutional Rights, the circumventing of the Legislative process by a President, activists in the Judiciary, just passes ho-hum, daily business, nothing to see here by even the one's that are on the "other side of the aisle".
I am hitting "terminal velocity" on this, and am concerned for current & future generations of Americans, who will be just more useful idiots more concerned with what the gov't can provide for them...
The sacred words of our Founding Fathers, get you a dangerous reputation now. I don't hear ANY politician quote them in earnest, draw a line in the sand, and show the testicular fortitude to say ENOUGH!!!!!
I pray, that "we the people" show the fortitude to show all those rat bast**ds,....that this is ENOUGH!!!!
Sorry for the rant, I'll just check on the provisions in the corner, and oil my Garand (again)......
