Title: Active Shooter
Post by: 60 Gunner on March 14, 2012, 11:06:26 PM
The shooter in the workplace scenario.

The lawyer mentions moral and legal aspects of shooting an active shooter.
The next thing would be living with the idea that 2-3 or 10 co-workers are now dead when I could have stopped it.
The guilt may never go away and cause a person serious psychological problems down the road.
Shooting the bad guy is bad enough. Failing to shoot him may well be worse.
Further, to live in a civilized society we need to take some responsibility for maintaining it, letting someone shoot your co-workers is dodging the responsibility.

Good episode.

My DVR didn't auto-record it because it had the same episode title as an episode back in March 2011.....fortunately, I caught it in time to watch the last episode of the night.

I really looked forward to and appreciate this episode.  However, I was somewhat disappointed.

In the companies I've worked for most office-dwellers are senior level/executive managers.  Most folks work in cubes.  Since the show concentrated on how to prepare and react while working in an office, it left me wanting more.  Most of us don't have doors to barricade or desks available for cover.  Please consider revisiting this topic with cube-dwellers in mind.

Overall, though, I really appreciate your show and the tactics you teach.  Keep up the good work!
