Great dog. Watch the video at the link below. It is a Front Sight page, so just ignore the ads if you choose to see the dog in action.

GOOD BOY!.. GUESS WHO'S GETTING A STEAK TONIGHT!
:8)

Looks like from the dog's quick actions to the owner's facial expression, this isn't the first time.

I'd say they had had this experience before too.
The bad guy dropped his gun before he was able to get loose and have the owner set the dog after him.
Too bad that isn't a "responsible" way for a gun shop owner to build inventory ;D ;D

I'd say this was a set up training video.

Could be. I did think the bad guy stuck the gun way farther over the counter than I would have...not only in reach of the dog..but the shop owner.
But even if it is a training video, you won't see many cats doing that....snicker...

Nope, would't expect an 'attack cat' but then again softy that I am I would try to protect my dog, too! Just the way I'm built.

This is an old video, it was posted here a couple years ago.

yeah, thanks for the link...but why is it every time I see a Front Sight ad or stumble upon his website I feel like I need to take a shower and do the digital equivalent of bleaching this computer's hard drive?

Agreed!

The reason to use a gun is so you don't have to fight at knife distances! If the BG was standing further back, he could have taken out the dog from a reasonable distance and then dealt with the clerk!

My Mother, bought a Blue Blood male Warlock Doberman from a bitch K-9 Dade County Sheriff, right after I was born. This dog dressed out at 120lbs. Took commands in German, and was the only Dobie I'll ever know.
This video is about as close to my photoalbums, as I can get to what Thor was to me.
My little sister and I could hang off his face, cropped ears, tongue, and ride him like a horse, and that dog loved it. He only hated the meter man, and was the best guard dog ever.
Saved my sister's life from a loose pit bull in Davie, Fl. tore him open from just behind the right front leg, all the way to the back leg.
Ol' man Hemsley found that pit bull bled out in the next field.
One of a kind. He was not fixed, and his name was Thor. (Mom was a Swede)... ::)
One of the most intelligent breeds ever.
