Has anyone heard pro or con on the Savage .22 long rifle?

Well, they make about a dozen different ones, but the ones I have seen and had experience with they all seem to be decent guns.  Some of the target models are tack drivers.  Even the plain jane cheap ones are accurate, at least accurate enough to kill squirrels and such.

I owned one of the nice Savage .22lrs with the thumbhole stock and accu-trigger.   Wasn't as good a shooter as I would have liked, so I sold it off.   Got the varmint version of the10/22 and couldn't have asked for a more accurate shooter.   Single hole at 50yds and around 1-1/2" at 100yds, with the right ammo.

Gave my daughter a Savage 22 some years ago. She thanked me and traded for the first of her 4 Ruger 10/22's.
