Medal winner forced to listen to spoof song
Games organisers apologise for the mix-up
They also got the Serbian anthem wrong

KAZAKHSTAN has demanded an apology from Kuwait after a spoof national anthem from Borat was played at a medal ceremony for its national shooting team.
The blunder took place as Maria Dmitrienko stood on top of the podium to celebrate her gold medal performance at the 10th Arab Shooting Championship in Kuwait. But instead of the Kazakh national anthem, Dmitrienko had to listen to the song used in Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
Footage of Thursday's original ceremony posted on YouTube shows Dmitrienko listening to the anthem without emotion and finally smiling as it ends.
Coach Anvar Yunusmetov told Kazakh news agency Tengrinews that the tournament's organisers had also got the Serbian national anthem wrong.
"Then Maria Dmitrienko's turn came," he said. "She got up on to the pedestal and they played a completely different anthem, offensive to Kazakhstan."
The spoof song praises Kazakhstan for its superior potassium exports and for having the cleanest prostitutes in the region.
The film, made by British comic Sacha Baron Cohen, portrayed the country as a socially and industrially backward nation with racist and homophobic undertones.
The Kazakh Government threatened to sue Baron Cohen in 2006 for damages, and the film's website was taken down. Such is the film's content, it is banned in the Arab world.
Red-faced organisers in Kuwait apologised for the embarrassing oversight before restaging the medal ceremony, this time with the correct version of the Kazakhstan anthem.
Kazakhstan's foreign office told local media that they were investigating the incident to avoid any similar errors in the future.
and as long as it gets the word out they have clean hookers it really cant be that bad for them can it? :D

If you're going to screw up, you might as well go big time.
I'm only surprised that Joe Biden wasn't involved.
