I lost a close friend in March 2008. One that was personal and one of note, as March 2012 draws to a close, I thought I would take moment to never forget.
Cpl. Robert "Bobby" T. McDavid 29, of Starksville, Miss. was killed in action March 2008, by a suicide bomber in Baghdad.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. out of Ft. Stewart, Ga.
Bobby (to me), was killed along with:
Sgt. 1st Class Shawn M. Suzch, 32, Hilltown Penn.
Staff Sgt. Ernesto G. Cimarrusti, 25, Douglas, AZ.
Staff Sgt. David D. Julian, 31, Evanston WY.
Cpl. Scott A. McIntosh, 26, Houston, TX.
I will never forget him, his sacrifice, good times, and his truly kind heart and gentle manner. He would give you the shirt off his back or last two dollars, if it made a difference.
I know where you are Bobby,....and what company your in.....you were never afraid to face the devil,...and I know you got to Heaven a shoutin'.
Send a blessing our way if you can,....we sure could use it....
Thank you for the outlet to never forget.
