I take it feral cats over in the US arent much of an issue as they are here?
Unfortunately we dont have any native animals that are able to keep them in control, like coyotes, bears, wolves, badgers, etc
We have stupid animals like possums and kangeroos - Fookin waste of time critters.
Over here the only good cat found in the wild is a dead one.  ;D

Wisconsin has a feral cat problem.  A few years back there was a measure to deal with them by basically declaing open season on feral cats.   The measure passed a vote.   The activist spoke up and the measured failed when the Wisconsin Natural Resources board refused to act.  Thinks got pretty heated up back in 2005 when this happened.  Not sure if it has been addressed again or not.

Here is one guys answer, cat hunting with a mortar:

Research

Oh, I have tried with knife and clippers
Sikle, sword, and baseball bat;
With hammer, hatchet, scissors, shears,
Electric razors, chisels, spears,
And I can tell you this, my dears,
There's just one way to skin a cat.

This has gone on too long, and I can't take it anymore without posting this

If you're going to have laws you need to find a way to enforce them  ;)
