1. NRA Chief: 2012 Election ‘Most Dangerous in Our Lifetime’
Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of the National Rifle Association, warns that President Barack Obama intends to "destroy the Second Amendment" during his second term and "end our freedom forever."
LaPierre delivered a rousing speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in February, and the text of his speech has been published in the April issue of "America’s 1st Freedom," the official journal of the NRA.
Asserting that the Second Amendment is the "heart and soul" of America, LaPierre says: "Our soul is at stake in this election. This campaign is a fight for our country, our values, and the freedom we believe in.
"All of our Second Amendment liberty, all of the rights we’ve worked so hard to defend, all of what we know is good and right about America — all of it could be lost if Barack Obama is re-elected."
LaPierre predicts that on the campaign trail Obama will point out to voters that he has not pursued an anti-gun agenda during his first term, but that was a "political calculation" aimed at NRA supporters and gun owners who might oppose him in his re-election bid.
Obama’s strategy, he says, is to "get re-elected and, with no more elections to worry about, get busy dismantling and destroying our firearm freedom. Erase the Second Amendment from the Bill of Rights and excise it from the U.S. Constitution."
During his second term Obama would likely appoint from one to three Supreme Court justices, and three more liberal justices will mean "the end of our freedom forever," LaPierre declares.
He concludes: "If you don’t remember anything else I say today, write this down: This is the most dangerous election in our lifetime. If Obama wins, we’ll go to our grave mourning the freedom we’ve lost.
"This is our time, our election to rise up and fight for our rights. We will defend our nation because we must. We will prevail!"

It is going to become more dangerous in many other ways as well. I look for a lot of black white violence. Now they've arrested 2 whites in the Tulsa, Oklahoma shootings. Jesse and Al will be along shortly to get as much mileage out of it as possible. These people want violence. Also, as soon as it becomes warm enough the "occupy" movement will again be rolling into the town near you, beating the same old drum of "Wealth is bad...handouts are good", nonsense. No doubt more violence will erupt from that as well.
Between the Simpson verdict almost 20 years ago, and all of the nonsense Hussein and Holder have managed to pull off, black / white relations have been set back 40 years in this country. This has become a powder keg waiting to explode. If the Republicans win in a landslide, that could well be the trigger that sets it off. The handouts will cease, or at worst lessen severely. The libtards will again start screaming. And Obama Care looks like it's headed for a Rid-X flush. This could well become 1968 all over again. Especially if Wall St. takes a rocket ride, which it most certainly will after Romney gets elected. There is a HUGE silent majority out there that is sick and tired of all of this. They won't act in a violent manner. They'll do it in the voting booth. As always the best investment at this point appears to be guns and ammo.

I think bilt is correct. The entire country seems to be at a tipping point. And Obama has indeed made race relations more strained, IMHO. Of course Jackson and his ilk make a living off the ignorance of their sheeple. I do believe the feces is about to hit the fan, one way or the other.

LaPierre is wrong, the results of the election are fixed. Either bho will win, in which case cities will erupt in "joyous" ( ::) ) celebration, or Romney will win, in which case the Entitled Ones will riot.
Besides, is there anyone here who seriously, and I mean in their heart of hearts, thinks that Romney will do and be any different from bho? The US Presidents have been selling us out - some faster or more apparently than others, but selling us out nonetheless - since Kennedy at the very least.
And that's assuming we can survive what bho has already done (remember, over half of all payroll in this country is .gov payroll, and I doubt seriously that most of the Feds vote (R) - and they are all working diligently...at what? Who knows?) - if he loses and agrees to leave office - and what he will do between 11/7/12 and 1/21/13.
I will vote for Romney (if he is in fact the candidate) even though I believe it is a lesson in futility.

US Presidents and members of Congress know their job depends on a popularity contest.
You will not get good Govt. using the same criteria that picks Miss America.
(minus the swimsuit competition, thank god. )

I can't argue with that assessment. :(

Personally, if the Repubs made the nominee an empty beer bottle with a cigarette butt on the bottom, it'd get my vote over the current resident. IMHO there is no question the current resident is determined to destroy America and our Constitution. He took first place from Carter as worst prez ever shortly after the election.
Yet there remain sheeple who will still vote for him if for no other reason than he does a passable Al Greene.
Sheesh...
I weep for my country,

And as Michael so often reminds us on his podcast, the greatest danger of Obama being re-elected is in the potential Supreme Court Justices he will most likely appoint.

as I understand it, the ballots will be shipped off electronically/digitally offshore to a company whose BOD is nothing but Spaniards.
Uhmmmn....WHY?!
