You would wear yourself out carrying that thing. How much does it weigh?

No, the light machine gun has been a standard infantry weapon since before WWII.
In the +/- 25 pound range empty, with most of the ammo load spread among the rest of the unit, a good one is well worth the work when SHTF.
When I was in on the other hand we had the M-60. :-\

Well, it did have recoil but it just didn't cause much barrel rise. If you watched close you could see the barrel drop after a burst was fired, probably do to the shooter holding it down some...but still very controllable. You could see the recoil to a greater degree with the woman shooter.
They didn't show a reload. No doubt a belt fed reload won't be as smooth as a magazine fed one....but chances are with the amount of firepower being laid down, you will have time for a smoke after you reload.
7.62 caliber brings a smile to my lips :D :D
Put me on the list also.
