There is a good amount of discussion on Twitter this morning about killing George Zimmerman now that he’s out on bail. But that hasn’t been the only action on Twitter calling for violent action. Since Friday, there has been an explosion of tweets surrounding the possibility of rioting if Zimmerman is acquitted – or even because he was released on bail:
They are calling for the Judge that granted bail, and Zimmerman to be literally lynched.....
,....now I know why I don't Tweet or Facebook....

I'm not surprised. Where is Fearless Leader, bHo, calling for calm, letting justice run it's course? Why isn't he denouncing the New Black Pathers for putting a bounty on Zimmerman? That's right, he needs to cash in on the currency of victimization whom ever they may be as long as he can exploit the crisis for his own personal gain. These remarks and calls for action go uncondemned and uncensured while Ted is vilified by the left and the press. Sorry, redundent.

Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation..
White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.... This

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It
was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave
ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to
Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and
prosperity blacks have ever known.. Jeremiah Wright ought to go down
on his knees and thank God he is an American.
Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white
Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ' 60s on
welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell
grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax
Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American
community into the mainstream. Governments, businesses and colleges
have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative
action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants
over white applicants. Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools
and individuals all over America have donated their time and money to
support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and
nursing homes for blacks.
We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude??
Barack talks about new 'ladders of opportunity' for blacks. Let him go
to Altoona ? And Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools
how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out
scholarships for 'deserving' white kids...?Is white America really
responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for
African-Americans are seven times those of white America ? Is it
really white America 's fault that illegitimacy in the
African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout
rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?
Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure
of the black community itself?
As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and
especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that
while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time,
black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?
Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common
than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as
common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?
We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley,
the Duke rape case and Jena . And all turned out to be hoaxes. But
about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear
nothing.
Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and
40 trillion tax dollars ago. This needs to be passed around because,
this is a message everyone needs to hear!!!

It's a historic fact that Blacks, even those exposed to Western culture are not capable of governing themselves in a peaceful, prosperous manner.
In the early 1800's James Madison bought a chunk of African coast and with financial aid from private sources, resettled several thousand freed slaves and Freemen.
In the following 150 years White America went to the moon while Liberia returned to barbarism.
Haiti achieved independence from France about the same time we threw off English rule.
In the intervening 236 America has become the world leader in just about everything.
Haiti is still begging for hand outs.
South Africa, Was a White ruled prosperous,now Black ruled basket case of starvation, corruption, and disease
Rhodesia, White ruled and prosperous. Zimbabwe, Black ruled, makes South Africa look like heaven.
The civil rights movement was backed by prosperous northern liberal college students who never saw a black person except Amos and Andy, or Bill Cosby on "I Spy".
They were opposed by middle aged people who had experience of life, lived among a large black community, and were otherwise pillars of their communities.
Think about that.

All you have to do is look at all the fine and honorable African-American soldiers putting their lives on the line for our freedoms to prove it.
I can hold up Ken Blanchard, Colin Powel,and Rick Ector as a modern short list of people who happen to be African-American who have proven themselves more than "capable of governing themselves in a peaceful, prosperous manner."
Think it's just conservatives? Wrong again. I can pull up names of fellow classmates who grew up in the slums of inner city Detroit who used their inner city education to further themselves by going to college and getting a solid middle class job, went into the military and served with honor, or worked hard and started their own prosperous businesses.
I can also recall the local Channel 4 WDIV NBC News channel pointing out that during a time of racial strife in the area caused by two white police officers beat a black citizen, Malice Green, to death, the overwhelming percentage of people trying to start a riot were from outside the state!
I can also tell you that those outsider plans failed! The residents of Detroit did govern themselves in a peaceful, prosperous manner. No damage was done to businesses, property, or people from that incident.
So when you say that Arican-Americans/Blacks " not capable of governing themselves in a peaceful, prosperous manner." Not only are you wrong, but you insult every patriotic, hard wroking, gun owning African American partner we have out there. Congratulations.
The talks here just drove in another wedge among fellow gun owners that the anti-gunners can use to defeat us. Great Job!

My senior year at USAFA we had a Marine Corps Major as our " air officer commanding".
He is a 78 grad from USNA, and literally the poster child for Marine recruiting. He is an afro-american. He was either the first black Cobra pilot or first black Harrier pilot. He told me about Liberia.
I guess that at some time in the 80's or early 90's he was on a carrier off the coast of Liberia. There was some crisis I guess where they had to evacuate the embassy and/or whatever other American civillians were in Liberia. At the end of telling me this story, he just shook his head in disgust and mumbled something like "and they are supposed to be my people???"
The story left enough of an impression on me that i remember it 18 years later.

It's also the 20 year anniversary of the L.A. Riots....Seems one particular ethnic group decided that "governing" involved burning privately owned businesses, committing numerous assaults, including Reginald Denny, who should have come out of his truck with a Glock 19.
Millions of dollars in damage and carnage,....Oh, and than there is Hurricane Katrina....While many blacks were heroic and honorable attempting to save lives and keep the peace, a number in the thousands decided to help themselves to whatever they could get a hold of and steal in what Mayor Nagan called a "chocolate city".....
Allen West, Bill Cosby, Thomas Sowell, and other black scholars, even acknowledge the majority of problems in black communities with Baby Daddy's, and record unemployment among blacks, generational welfare, and chronic poverty is not whitey's fault....
I respectfully disagree Ulmus, I think you missed the point. The residents of Detroit may have had a stretch of "peaceful" and "prosperous" times, but that was long ago, and now the city is a broken shell and an impoverished failure of what it used to be.

Immigrants came to America in waves, they landed in the slums and moved upward and out ward from there.
Many "ghetto" areas have gone from Irish to Italian to Jewish.
They move up in the world and move on.
Blacks on the other hand move in and stay.
If they do leave they take the "slum" with them.
It is a historic fact that when blacks begin displacing another group in a slum property values and tax revenue drop.
What does it say about a group when they downgrade the slums of a city ?

The Bahamas? Outside of the tourist areas, any decent Bahamian Cab driver will refuse to take tourists to the "other" areas of the island...
Outside of Freeport, Nassau, Paradise Island, the larger urban areas are set up in zones. The cruise ship and tourist shops, golf courses, restaurants, bars and island art, and coastal areas for charter fishing, etc,....
The inner cities, are strictly off limits, or at your own peril.... Next time your down there ask any cabby to take you to the east side of Freeport to a pool hall called Tobie's.... You'll get talked out of it....
Jamaica is the same way. Moreover, if your there to work, like I do on occasion in the marine industry, we can't even bring our own tools and Fluke meters, as customs will make them disappear. Yacht Captains don't want the locals working on their stuff
and we have to go down as "tourists"....not technicians....Trinidad and Tobago are even worse...

The bahamas can bring in lots of tourists and businesses from the tourist industry. I went on a tour of the Bahmas driven by a guy named Perry. The first thing he showed us was the "Slums". He pointed out all the satellite diahes on the houses and explained the low crime rate there. Later on he showed my wife and I the Atlantis resort where a south african coumpany had bought the place and sank in over $200 MILLION dollars in renovations to it.
That's a lot of money to put in an area and if the government wasn't stable, secure, and prosperous for business, the company would've gone elsewhere.
Even today they are still making priofits in that country with little to no natural resources and not heavy industry besides tourism. As for the US. We have less unemployment than Spain even when adjusted for those who gave up (11%-12% hell I'll even go 15% compared to 24.4%) Our dollar is more secure than the euro. And high priced items like the Jeep Grand Cherokee are in such high demand that Chryslter has cancellled the annual two week shut down to play catch up instead. It's all a matter of perspective isn't it.

We should also look at all the other riots that have gone on in recent times due to nothing more than those cities winning sporting events.
Case in point Detroit, 1984. The Tigers win the world series and the fans all file out and tear the place apart. They toss over cop cars and light them up. Lots of white people caused that riot. Blacks as well.
Same can be said for other large cities as well as college towns too. Mainly of white persuasion when it comes to the college towns.
Riots usually happen because of one of two things. Drunkenss or Rage.

There you commend these peopple for their civil unrest against what they percieved as tyrrany. How are these other riots not a result of percieved tyranny against the local government there? The actions and results may be different, but the flash cause is the same.
Now to bring up why I come on so strong against these types of posts.
First of all, while this back and forth has been between me and Tombogan03884 and now you Twyacht, it's to get the attention of everyone here.
We are forgetting why we are here. We are here to enjoy, encourage, and expand shooting and all things surrounding it. By posting on this forum and any other firearm forum we have become ambassadors to the cause. We need to make sure that new people lurking around feel welcome to join here. That means every firearm owner or future owner. Regardless of their race, creed, color, sexual preference, or political belief.
I want you guys to listen to something. It'll take roughly 5 minutes to listen to. Here's the link:

They guy makes a serious point. How many brothers and sisters of another caliber are we losing when all they see are posts like this one insinuating that minorities can not run a government because they are too stupid? Or that they are too violent? Or that they are all racists? Or that they are the destroyers of morailty?
How many feel that these posts lump them all into one group and are only singled out when called on it?
How many potential customers does Michael Bane lose due to these posts. How many fellow firearm owners have we lost due to percieved hatred and biggotry?
There are better ways to make your point. Instead of making it sound like all people of a type are the cuase of anger and stryfe, you can point out that its the usual extremist group of a given population that is causing the problem and then point out the other people in the group that disagree with them.
Instead of saying a group can't run a government, you can point out the ones that are doing good in their prospective elected positions. Judges, representtives, counsel members, ect..
And do you really think the majority of Democrats in office really give a damn about gun control? No! They only follow what the numbers tell them about their constituants.
We bring the Democratic gun owners in and make an honest long term investment to make them equals among us. You'll see the whole gun control crap go by the wayside.
Politicians want one of two things:
1 to be re-elected
2 to serve their constituants - if they are that rare breed.
The greedy ones that want to be re-elected will do whatever it takes to get money and support. If that means backing pro gun legislation, they'll do it while kissing a baby.
So the chooice is yours.
We can continue on like we're doing now and weaken ourselves and our cause; or we can be true ambasadors and take the high road to immortality.

Ulmus, you make good points. The Battle Of Athens, was not a perceived act of tyranny. It was a downright flagrant violation of State Law, and not one participant was charged.
By your own account, you "passed through" the slums,...didn't actually get a chance to stop for a cold one...Probably not any tourist attractions in those slums either.
I could recall the Americans murdered and kidnapped in the Virgin Isles, but that is not the point of my post.
The "college/sporting" acts of destruction of property and vandalism, usually has little or no casualties, and lots of arrests....
Those acts are criminal and those arrested should be charged and convicted.
Usually no personal injuries, and no gunfire, except probably in Detroit which is proof positive of a failed Liberal Minority run city.
I think Hell Night in Detroit is an honored tradition of setting things on fire. I'd like to see a demographic of which ethnic group is most responsible.
I am not forgetting why I'm here. (Going on +4 years),...and cultural, social, political, legal debate done in adult and mostly responsible fashion is why I am still here. Not because of some "politically correct" approach to our Nations demise on many levels.

The "high road" for me is not white-washing the current state of our Nation. Those that "lurk", and read through these posts, will see that for themselves. Praise and accolades are given all the time to those making a difference. Exposure and pointing out the usurping, corrupt, lying, sinister methods, used by members of our political parties, and other citizens, that you won't hear or read about in the MSM or NY Times, et al, will be called to account.
My OP was based on the factual history I have experienced for myself first hand, and the historical facts of previous riots around this country. The "race baiters" like Sharpton and Jackson, Farrakhan, even BHO, whip a certain ethnic group into a state, and if the outcome is not satisfying for them,....They take to the streets....
I live in Literalville. I've even lurked on other gun forums....Perhaps you don't realize the tenacity, degrading, demeaning, bullying that occurs on other sites...Unlike this one where we can argue, debate, agree to disagree, and compliment each other on a new firearm purchase, a shooting competition attended, a problem seeking advice for a particular gun, or whats a good recipe for Chile.
That's what makes DRTV much better and different... Let the "lurkers" read that...

It's not the topic of dicussion can be had, but it is the how that needs to stated first. We need to find wording that opens up a discussion instead of making people defensive. You can't argue with a wall.
As for the high number of blacks and hispanics in prison, I can't claim to know the answer to that.
I can say people found it easier to believe a white woman claiming a black man killed her kids than her killing them herrself before the evidece proved her to be the killer.
A question for you:
Whith blacks and hispanics being so highly represented in prison for violemt crimes, why is it that when it comes to serial killings, canibalism, child abuse, and spoucal abuse the highest percentage comes from white people?
When it comes to the "gang-banger" dress and language, I've seen more white teens do this than black teens in Detroit! I kid you not. In rural Tennessee you will see teen and twenty to thorty somethings wearing baggy pants, talking shizzle while bumping gangsta rap out of their pickups.
It's the oddest thing I've ever seen.
You have it reversed when it comes to the black population embracing the ignorant, felonious, and sociopathic while demeaning the hard working and successful as an "Uncle Tom", or an "Oreo". And that's where the discussion about race needs to start. Just as we've educated ourselves about all things firearms, we need to educate ourselves about the reality of the booming middle class and upper class of black people. Just go to any good sized city and watch the people stream out of their corporte towers. You'll find the black population of that building will match the percentage of the black population of that community.
Why can't we have them as welcome here as they are there?

You're right, we just passed through. Perry showed us basicly the housing areas and one small grocery store where milk cost double of what it does here. (Everything cost double there.) My wife and I did walk on the Fringe area, which was easy to tell because there were no crowds, when it started to rain. An undercover cop tried to sell me weed and then we went into a local bar when it started to rain. No problems at all.

I was there for this part and I saw that video posted here recently. Two things:
First its called "Devil's night" ;) and it goes on for three days. You should know thta it hit it's peak in the late eighties and has gone down every year since.
Second: I'd like to see the demographic, too. I bet you''d see a bigger percentage of Canadians and suburbanites than you expected. Pyromania is listed as being caused by young whilte males and I bet this demographic loves to sneek in and start their own fires with those caused by the fringe group inside the city.
If gunfire from a sproting event is proof of a failed liberal minroity run city what do you call those rural conservative cities where people neglegently shoot their guns on the fourth of july and new years eve? Myakka City, Sarsota, Arcadia, Decker -MI, Punta Gorda, Cleveland -TN. Mainly white people there.

Yes. The fact is not all people of a city partake in the riot of that city. The fact that in a area that has a high percentage of minorities living ther, there will be a high percentage of minorities policing to keep the area safe to the best of their ability.

Did you know there were 20 buried bodies of muder victims in the undeveloped area where my first house with my wife was? A white seerial killer proudly told the police exactly where to find them. Without his confession, those 20 murders would be unsloved too.
As for taking the high road and lurking through the posts. If you double check, you will see that there are many posts accusing minorities of causing problems and damn few praising them for their accomplishments.

That would be a generalization and wrong. The proper "Literal" way to say this would be "certain faction of an ethnic group"
And that's where the problem is. Broad strokes and accusing generalizations when precise, thin line accuracies are needed to properly communicate the thought.
Or to put it this way: You need to tighten up your groupings when it comes to your communications cause your wide spread pattern is hitting everyone.
I've seen those other forums you've talked about. I've seen non-gun forums that make this place look down right PC when it comes to wording and pictures. Right now it seems like we're at the halfway mark of the funnel. We're missing a good chunk of people who can add so much to our own experience.
When we generalize and misscommunicare, we narrow ourselves to the tiny end of the funnel where less opportunity for new experiences.

Years ago, back in 81 or 82, I was driving home from a party a bit after midnight and realized I was running on fumes and still 10 miles from home. I also realized I had no cash with me....I don't remember how that came about...maybe I forgot my wallet or something.
Anyway, I figured I'd stop at each gas station I came to and drain the hoses into my tank and maybe be able to make it home.
At my first stop, in a poorer neighborhood, I was at the pumps, draining hoses, when a car pulls in and four black guys get out....two as big or bigger than me and two smaller.
The driver asked me "what the hell I was doing" at the closed station, as it belonged to a friend of his. I told him my story and after considering it, told me to wait where I was. He and one of the smaller guys got in the car and drove with the other two waiting with me.
Didn't know if he was going to get the owner or the cops or what, but decided the wise thing to do was wait.
A few minuted later he comes back and has a gallon gas can he hands me to pour into my tank.....knowing I had no money to pay for it.
Told him thanks and he told me to be more careful.
I know the "Black Society" in this country (and elsewhere) has many problems and many reasons for them....not excuses, but explanations...and carry a very large portion of the "causes" on their own shoulders....
But, I will never tar Blacks as a group with a brush so broad it will include those guys who helped a stranger in need....even if it was only a gallon of gas at '82 prices....and I'd hope that if he ever showed up here, he would not feel lessened by too broad a brush.

If they are here they are either trolls or most likely they agree with the points I'm trying to make.
They would not have bought a gun to protect themselves from the cops, or other law abiding citizens.

The Culture on the other hand is 40 years of Affirmative Actions enforced preference and they are still losers, demanding ever more hand outs and special lower standards.

In the community it is racists and extortionists like Sharpton, Farrakan, Jackson, and Wright.

Was at work the other day and was speaking to one of the associates. She was really bitter (She is black.) that Zimmerman was released. She made the comment that had it been a black man that shot a white man that there would be a riot. I advised her that Zimmerman was hispanic. "Oh yeah.", she replied and totally diffused the conversation.
Ignorance or fear always leads to prejudice. I am not unless someone treats me different because of the color of my skin. It has happened to me.

I have presented a theory that starts with a baseline of conduct and family structure and incorporates 50 years of documented history and statistics on poverty, employment, crime, and family structure to arrive at conclusions that coincide with observed reality.

The "all White" comment is not true, the Supreme court has ruled these groups can not bar any one who wishes to join.
NY no longer has a St Patrick's day parade because SCOTUS ruled that the Irish had to allow gays and blacks to march as well.
There has been no such ruling about deserving white students getting grants or scholarships from the "United Negro College Fund", or white politicians being allowed to join the "Congressional Black Caucus".

I've seen the "all white" suburbs of my childhood now having a good mix of both blacks and whites and you know what? They are still clean, prosperous, and as low crime as they were as a child.

The crime rate is soaring. 70% of black women in South Africa are HIV positive. Foreign investors have pulled out because the government has demanded idiot blacks be placed on the board of many of these South African companies. Businesses are closing up left and right. The only thing that has changed is the blacks have come into power. The rest of the story automatically writes itself. All the time, every time. When it comes to creating and maintaining prosperous living these people couldn't find their asses with both hands. Even when it's handed to them on a silver platter.
Are there some good, educated, hard working black people? Of course there are. But not enough to make a difference in their race as a whole. Now you can call me a racist for saying that. The original targets of the Ku Klux Klan were Republicans, both black and white, according to a new television program and book, which describe how the Democrats started the KKK and for decades harassed the GOP with lynchings and threats.
An estimated 3,446 blacks and 1,297 whites died at the end of KKK ropes from 1882 to 1964.
The documentation has been assembled by David Barton of Wallbu More..ilders and published in his book "Setting the Record Straight: American History in Black & White," which reveals that not only did the Democrats work hand-in-glove with the Ku Klux Klan for generations, they started the KKK and endorsed its mayhem.
"Of all forms of violent intimidation, lynchings were by far the most effective," Barton said in his book. "Republicans often led the efforts to pass federal anti-lynching laws and their platforms consistently called for a ban on lynching. Democrats successfully blocked those bills and their platforms never did condemn lynchings."
Further, the first grand wizard of the KKK was honored at the 1868 Democratic National Convention, no Democrats voted for the 14th Amendment to grant citizenship to former slaves and, to this day, the party website ignores those decades of racism, he said.
"Although it is relatively unreported today, historical documents are unequivocal that the Klan was established by Democrats and that the Klan played a prominent role in the Democratic Party," Barton writes in his book. "In fact, a 13-volume set of congressional investigations from 1872 conclusively and irrefutably documents that fact.
"The Klan terrorized black Americans through murders and public floggings; relief was granted only if individuals promised not to vote for Republican tickets, and violation of this oath was punishable by death," he said. "Since the Klan targeted Republicans in general, it did not limit its violence simply to black Republicans; white Republicans were also included."
Barton also has covered the subject in one episode of his American Heritage Series of television programs, which is being broadcast now on Trinity Broadcasting Network and Cornerstone Television.
Barton told WND his comments are not a condemnation or endorsement of any party or candidate, but rather a warning that voters even today should be aware of what their parties and candidates stand for.
His book outlines the aggressive pro-slavery agenda held by the Democratic Party for generations leading up to the Civil War, and how that did not die with the Union victory in that war of rebellion.
Even as the South was being rebuilt, the votes in Congress consistently revealed a continuing pro-slavery philosophy on the part of the Democrats, the book reveals.
Three years after Appomattox, the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, granting blacks citizenship in the United States, came before Congress: 94 percent of Republicans endorsed it.
"The records of Congress reveal that not one Democrat � either in the House or the Senate � voted for the 14th Amendment," Barton wrote. "Three years after the Civil War, and the Democrats from the North as well as the South were still refusing to recognize any rights of citizenship for black Americans."
He also noted that South Carolina Gov. Wade Hampton at the 1868 Democratic National Convention inserted a clause in the party platform declaring the Congress' civil rights laws were "unconstitutional, revolutionary, and void."
It was the same convention when Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest, the first grand wizard of the KKK, was honored for his leadership.
Barton's book notes that in 1868, Congress heard testimony from election worker Robert Flournoy, who confessed while he was canvassing the state of Mississippi in support of the 13th and 14th Amendments, he could find only one black, in a population of 444,000 in the state, who admitted being a Democrat.
Nor is Barton the only person to raise such questions. In 2005, National Review published an article raising similar points. The publication said in 1957 President Dwight Eisenhower, a Republican, deployed the 82nd Airborne Division to desegregate the Little Rock, Ark., schools over the resistance of Democrat Gov. Orval Faubus.
Further, three years later, Eisenhower signed the GOP's 1960 Civil Rights Act after it survived a five-day, five-hour filibuster by 18 Senate Democrats, and in 1964, Democrat President Lyndon Johnson signed the 1964 Civil Rights Act after former Klansman Robert Byrd's 14-hour filibuster, and the votes of 22 other Senate Democrats, including Tennessee's Al Gore Sr., failed to scuttle the plan.

The current version of the "History" page on the party website lists a number of accomplishments � from 1792, 1798, 1800, 1808, 1812, 1816, 1824 and 1828, including its 1832 nomination of Andrew Jackson for president. It follows up with a name change, and the establishment of the Democratic National Committee, but then leaps over the Civil War and all of its issues to talk about the end of the 19th Century, William Jennings Bryan and women's suffrage.
A spokesman with the Democrats refused to comment for WND on any of the issues. "You're not going to get a comment," said the spokesman who identified himself as Luis.
"Why would Democrats skip over their own history from 1848 to 1900?" Barton asked. "Perhaps because it's not the kind of civil rights history they want to talk about � perhaps because it is not the kind of civil rights history they want to have on their website."
The National Review article by Deroy Murdock cited the 1866 comment from Indiana Republican Gov. Oliver Morton condemning Democrats for their racism.
"Every one who shoots down Negroes in the streets, burns Negro schoolhouses and meeting-houses, and murders women and children by the light of their own flaming dwellings, calls himself a Democrat," Morton said.
It also cited the 1856 criticism by U.S. Sen. Charles Sumner, R-Mass., of pro-slavery Democrats. "Congressman Preston Brooks (D-S.C.) responded by grabbing a stick and beating Sumner unconscious in the Senate chamber. Disabled, Sumner could not resume his duties for three years."
By the admission of the Democrats themselves, on their website, it wasn't until Harry Truman was elected that "Democrats began the fight to bring down the final barriers of race and gender."
"That is an accurate description," wrote Barton. "Starting with Harry Truman, Democrats began � that is, they made their first serious efforts � to fight against the barriers of race; yet � Truman's efforts were largely unsuccessful because of his own Democratic Party."
Even then, the opposition to rights for blacks was far from over. As recently as 1960, Mississippi Democratic Gov. Hugh White had requested Christian evangelist Billy Graham segregate his crusades, something Graham refused to do. "And when South Carolina Democratic Gov. George Timmerman learned Billy Graham had invited African Americans to a Reformation Rally at the state Capitol, he promptly denied use of the facilities to the evangelist," Barton wrote.
The National Review noted that the Democrats' "Klan-coddling" today is embodied in Byrd, who once wrote that, "The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia."
The article suggested a contrast with the GOP, which, when former Klansman David Duke ran for Louisiana governor in 1991 as a Republican, was "scorned" by national GOP officials.
Until 1935, every black federal legislator was Republican, and it was Republicans who appointed the first black Air Force and Army four-star generals, established Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday as a national holiday, and named the first black national-security adviser, secretary of state, the research reveals.
Current Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice has said: "The first Republican I knew was my father, and he is still the Republican I most admire. He joined our party because the Democrats in Jim Crow Alabama of 1952 would not register him to vote. The Republicans did. My father has never forgotten that day, and neither have I."
Barton's documentation said the first opponents of slavery "and the chief advocates for racial equal rights were the churches (the Quakers, Presbyterians, Methodists, etc.). Furthermore, religious leaders such as Quaker Anthony Benezet were the leading spokesmen against slavery, and evangelical leaders such as Presbyterian signer of the Declaration Benjamin Rush were the founders of the nation's first abolition societies."
During the years surrounding the Civil War, "the most obvious difference between the Republican and Democrat parties was their stands on slavery," Barton said. Republicans called for its abolition, while Democrats declared: "All efforts of the abolitionists, or others, made to induce Congress to interfere with questions of slavery, or to take incipient [to initiate] steps in relation thereto, are calculated to lead to the most alarming and dangerous consequences, and all such efforts have the inevitable tendency to diminish the happiness of the people."
Wallbuilders also cited John Alden's 1885 book, "A Brief History of the Republican Party" in noting that the KKK's early attacks were on Republicans as much as blacks, in that blacks were adopting the Republican identity en masse.
"In some places the Ku Klux Klan assaulted Republican officials in their houses or offices or upon the public roads; in others they attacked the meetings of negroes and displaced them," Alden wrote. "Its ostensible purpose at first was to keep the blacks in order and prevent them from committing small depredations upon the property of whites, but its real motives were essentially political � The negroes were invariable required to promise not to vote the Republican ticket, and threatened with death if they broke their promises."
Barton told WND the most cohesive group of political supporters in American now is African-Americans. He said most consider their affiliation with the Democratic party longterm.
But he said he interviewed a black pastor in Mississippi, who recalled his grandmother never "would let a Democrat in the house, and he never knew what she was talking about." After a review of history, he knew, Barton said.
Citing President George Washington's farewell address, Barton told WND, "Washington had a great section on the love of party, if you love party more than anything else, what it will do to a great nation."
"We shouldn't love a party [over] a candidate's principles or values," he told WND.
Washington's farewell address noted the "danger" from parties is serious.
"Let me now � warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party, generally. � The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism," Washington said.

Blacks translate everything into "free" money. Look at "slavery reparations". They want money for it. Or as the more educated blacks like to call it, "restitution". A simple formal apology won't do. For blacks to forget, it must be backed with cash. I don't see how anyone can take these people seriously anymore. They manage to make a farce out of everything they get involved in.

Jesse Jackson makes all of this the most obvious. A few years back he showed up on NASCAR's doorstep complaining that NASCAR isn't giving black drivers a "fair shot" because there are no black NASCAR drivers. NASCAR caved to him and gave his organization a check for $150,000.00 and all of it went silently away. He did much the same with Budweiser saying they don't hire enough blacks in their breweries nationwide. After selling his son a Budweiser beer distributorship for all but pennies on the dollar, suddenly they did. All of it was nothing more than common extortion.
Blacks are much the same in all of the governments they control. That is why the most financially corrupt governments worldwide are all run by blacks. Look at the Haitian Relief effort. A vast amount of the cash was stolen by the black "performer" Wyclef Jean. He cannot account for millions of dollars that was donated. Blacks will many times starve their own people to satisfy their thirst for corruption. This has been proven over and over. There is no such thing as a black run "charity".

Blacks aren't the only group enslaved this way. Plenty of white folks are there with them. Growing up in a Welfare family, it becomes the way of life for the kids and their kids. Very hard to get out when you get all you need given to you and you just have to follow some "rules" to get it.
It takes rare character to be able to get out of that cesspool if you were born and raised in it.

What they don't teach in school, and constantly try to hide, is that the KKK was not formed to fight "uppity Blacks".
It was formed by the Southern Democrats to resist the post war REPUBLICAN reconstruction program in it's entirety.
In fact, Republicans were not accepted in the Klan. Lets look at how well the Dems have treated Blacks over the years.

I don't know about that. I seem to recall that my Black History book noted that the KKK formed right after the South lost the Civil War and was made up of people resentful for the loss of slavery.
BTW: This class was taught in a Roman Catholic private school by white nuns in 1982/1983.

An example, While in Coastal NC, I lived in an unincorporated section of Pender County... The County Seat was a 30-45 minute drive away. No local cops, strictly County Deputies....Just two local VFD's or it went to the county...
A knock at my door one weekend introduced me to a "yankee" transplant from Rhode Island....Wanted me to sign a petition to get our little town "incorporated"...Local Cops, Mayor, Town Council, (modest local tax),.....
I asked him why he left "the North",.....his response was it was too expensive, too cold, too many layers of city, state, and federal taxes.
