SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - A citizen with a gun stopped a knife wielding man as he began stabbing people Thursday evening at the downtown Salt Lake City Smith's store.
Police say the suspect purchased a knife inside the store and then turned it into a weapon. Smith's employee Dorothy Espinoza says, "He pulled it out and stood outside the Smiths in the foyer. And just started stabbing people and yelling you killed my people. You killed my people."
-------------------snip-----------
Then, before the suspect could find another victim - a citizen with a gun stopped the madness. "A guy pulled gun on him and told him to drop his weapon or he would shoot him. So, he dropped his weapon and the people from Smith's grabbed him."
By the time officers arrived the suspect had been subdued by employees and shoppers. Police had high praise for gun carrying man who ended the hysteria. Lt. Brian Purvis said, "This was a volatile situation that could have gotten worse. We can only assume from what we saw it could have gotten worse. He was definitely in the right place at the right time."

How come I didn't hear about this on the News ?
Oh yeah, it doesn't fit the agenda.
You think Obama will comment on this ?

always nice to hear a good news story every now and then

If everyone were carrying, there would always be someone "in the right place at the right time."

Good thing this wasn't at a school. It would STILL be going on!

Didn't even have to shoot him...
WOW...Restraint, trigger discipline, not some "cowboy" who comes out blasting,,,,, and ended the stabbing spree.
I wonder if this would have the same outcome in Chicago or NYC?
The gun owner would have been arrested for brandishing, and facing felony charges in Bloomberg and Rahm's world....

Here is the part of the story that will make it to the MSM....
By the time officers arrived the suspect had been subdued by employees and shoppers.

Exactly what would happen on a college campus, (if allowed to be armed), if someone went berserk with a gun.
By the time officers arrived the suspect had been subdued by employees and CCW holders.
The common refrain is "We wouldn't know who is the bad guy."
Here's a clue - it's the guy lying on the floor bleading with all the people piled on top of him saying "The bad guy is here!".
