Title: God Bless You Bobby! Never forget!

This is for a friend, who had his sights on a larger vision than I could ever know. He died last month in Iraq. Notified by family.
God Bless you Bobby! You will not be forgotten!
To Tombogan, as i am tearfully writing this, thank you. and thank you to all who have served that are on this forum, your avatar means more now than I ever knew. I would go tomorrow if they would take me.
This one is VERY close to home, and it hurts. BUT they did not die in vain.
He enlisted after 9/11 and swore he would "get those SOB's". He did., and he took as many with him as he could.
Thank you DRTV and all you guys on this forum, THis one is close and I thought I would share the news.

Thank you Tom, its difficult to know what I feel at this point,I feel a little shell shock or something, I dont know. thank you for your reply, your avatar photo just sticks with me, and the video was just an attachment, but as I watched it all the way through, it was kinda tough. As I'm sure its tough on many others. Its what we do, and Bobby would want us to "get on with it" as he would say.

My condolences as well. As a Nation, we are engaged with an enemy unlike any other in US history. Before it is resolved, I believe each one of us will be involved in one way or another. Like the citizens in New Your, D.C., and Pensylvania, who were not on active duty during the attack, we all have a role to play. And a sacred debt to repay. Mac.

My condolences for the loss.
Celebrate is life and try not to mourn his passing. He walked his own path and paid in full measure for us to be free. That your path is different does not make it less important, only you can do that by giving less than your full measure.
Be proud that he called you friend, as you knew a true hero.

My condolences for the loss as well. The best a stranger can do is to pray for the family, but know this, that loss is not in vain. Every sacrifice made provides many of us the ability to raise our families as patriots and live as patriots every day. My family did not have to fight that enemy here because we were blessed by the souls of thousands who fought and died for us in this latest battle. Even though our corrupt government has faultered in a way that exposed us to harm within our borders, there is a remnant bought with that lost blood who recognizes the sacrifice and readies themselves for the time when events that led to the birth of this nation may revisit us.

I'm am sorry to hear about your friend. :( Men and women like him keep our freedom possible. And they will not be forgotten for their goodness. I give thanks to him and all our troops and soldiers all over. Thank you all!

My heart cries with you on the loss of your friend. :'( It is such a blast to the soul when it hits so close to home. Even though we know it is going on every second..it is still a punch of reality to have it take someone we have loved, laughed with, and shared life with. Know that I will light a green candle today and infuse healing thoughts in it for the family, so that they might have a teeny bit of comfort sent to them via the spiritual realm of our earthly world.
Please let them know that there are many who share their grief. ...and their pride in Bobby.

My condolences to you and the family I know this is not much to help with the pain as I have lost friends of the family and have ones hurt to . Tom Bogan pays great tribute with his avatar. I have great respect to all those who serve and fight for my freedoms . God bless every one of them!

Press on twyacht. With friends like you and as long as there are veterans and forum members like us he will never be forgotten. A special day of remembrance is already there for him and the brave souls like him. Veterans Day. A day to remember those serving and those who have served in the past. There are many who have gone before him. God Bless them all.

Its always hard to find words to use when there's a tragedy like this, at least for me it is. That video does a much better job than I can do, especially after the knot in my throat from watching it. My deepest condolences to you and his family, may he find now the peace he fought so hard for on Earth. Thank you Bobby for what you have done, and know that there are those that thank God a true warrior lived among us.

My condolences to you and Bobby's family. It is always hard for all when a warrior is struck down in battle but knowing he was doing his part to make America safe now and for the future is where some comfort may lay. Godspeed Bobby and thank you.

Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers, they truly mean so much.. Inspiration comes in different forms, and all of your kind words really are appreciated.. A Heartfelt Thank You to each and all.
Bobby had made arrangements to be buried on the sacred ground of Arlington National Cemetery.
Emily Dickinson wrote, " Because I could not stop for death, he kindly stopped for me, the carriage held just ourselves, and Immortality." He and the heroes that have fallen, will always remain immortal to me and my family.
The military has a protocol that coordinates with the family for the final arrangements. This will be very tough, but I absolutely will be there for his funeral.
We played golf together, caught red drum, flounder, and speckled trout, enjoyed many an afternoon with a variety of firearms just target shooting. Drank beer and did most of the crazy stuff in college we never should have gotten away with.
Thank you again to the DRTV forum, you are a special bunch, and the only "forum" I am a member of.

I'm sorry for the loss of your good friend. You have good memories to keep with you forever. With love and good memories, Bobby will live on forever in your heart.
