apparently if you owe back taxes, then the IRS says you will have to give up your gun rights.
that is if this new bill passes.

Old news that is not true.
This was around last fall/winter, there was a thread on here about it, but I can't find it now.
It was a suggestion that never went any where except the internet and therefore the paniced stories about it will be around for years.
Just like Blair/ Holt and that stupid Muslim Christmas stamp.

here's the only bit of text I could find in the bill that actually refers to firearms.
‘(2) FIREARMS- This chapter and regulations prescribed under this chapter do not prohibit--
‘(A) or regulate transportation of a firearm (as defined in section 232 of title 18), or ammunition for a firearm, by an individual for personal use; or
‘(B) transportation of a firearm or ammunition in commerce.
‘(g) Limitation on Authority- Unless the Secretary decides that an emergency exists, a person subject to this chapter may only be granted a variance from this chapter through a special permit or renewal granted under this section.

Just because it was around last winter and you had already heard about it, doesn't mean that I had heard about it.
Actually, I just heard about it today from another forum. I had the same gut reaction too. " AHHH.... Jeeezz.... Not another Blair-Holt spam email. But then I clicked the link and saw the May 2012 date.
As far as the verbage goes... What was it that Pelosi said about the Obamacare bill? "We gotta pass it first to find out what's in it !"
