According to "Public Enemies" (The book, not the fictionalized movie ) his was a .380.

Doesn't matter much as it didn't come out of his pocket in time to prevent the .45 that went through his skull! ;)

First off ................. I'm going to shoot it! After, not sure. Some guy wanted a medium caliber handgun, and I had an older Taurus revolver. He offered to trade a couple of items, that I wasn't interested in. Then, he offered this. Next thing I knew, it was mine. It's a little rough, but it is 90+ years old. Hell, I'm a little rough, and aren't near that old. ::) He claimed it shot well, just shot it a couple weeks ago. I'll find out soon enough.
