Looking forward to seeing all the pictures. This is what I'll be sporting for the Fourth of July! It seems fitting but I don't have leather for it yet.

I don't carry a 1911 every day, but on those special occasions, I will break one out and wear it for the day.
This is a custom SW SC1911 by the Performance Center at S&W. They did a superb job on the checkering of the scandium frame as well as the action job and refinshing the whiole gun. The magazines are loaded with 185 gr +P DPX ammunition.

The M&P 9C is my go to rig.

Ignore the decorative Papa John's box. I don't have a fancy holster for it, but Nothing is classier than a stainless steel 1911 with marble grips. I might put my Gadsen grips on it for the Fourth though.

As Doc Holliday would say, "Well.....I suppose I'm deranged....... but I'll just have to call." ;)

Glock 26 concealed in a crossbreed for me. I may open carry a 19 or 20 in an Aholster at home for a little while. I don't get much fancier than that, unfortunately. Maybe I should invest in something fancier for future parties.

Heck this little guy followed me home for the 4th.

My Bar-B-Q gun is an early Colt Government 1911 .45. It has been fully engraved, customized, accurized, and the grips have a cute Rampant Colt inlaid in ivory. It has had many thousands of rounds fired through it and it is very accurate. It is unlike any other 1911 I have ever seen. The belt, holster, double mag pouch and knife case were made for me by Walt Ostin of Cobble Hills, BC Canada. The rig is a replica of an outfit made by the Bohlin Company in Hollywood many years ago supposedly for John Wayne, for a movie about modern day Texas Rangers - that was never made. I would love to see the script - if there is one. The buckle set and the engraving on the Spyderco knife were crafted by Silverado Silversmiths in Apple Valley, CA.

Beautiful rig Dutch!
Thanks for sharing...

Nice.

Glock 30SF. I would post a picture but not to be biased, they all look the same. ;D

Those Glocks all look alike.

All these pics and only ONE BBQ gun? We're slipping folks. Surely somebody buys those gold inlaid commerorative pieces the NRA hawks? No? Good for us, but I was hoping for an old Colt Army or an old 1864 Smith or something. What happened to Bill T or MB? Someone has to lend some class to the place. ;D

Agreed. Its why I taded a Weatherby Mk V for a Ruger M77 with a sweet piece of glass on top and still think I got the best of the deal. But still, someone ought to wear a tie to the party. It just ain't gonna be me. ;)

Just put together a party piece for my next shooting match
Ruger mark iii bottom, Hogue metal grips, Volquartsen trigger kit and extractor and a Tactical Solutions receiver and barrel
I would like to jewel the bolt and polish the stainless frame up when time permits and perhaps a small red dot.
It certainly weighs less than the ruger barrel that was on it. OMG its heaven now LOL
Sorry Teresa its not PURPLE!!!
Its Blue, its Better :P

How about this one? Still needs a tiny little bit of finishing..

I think I'm going to sell my ED Brown if I have another range day like today. My CZ97b just kicks major ass with every brand of ammo I feed it. Hell today I was able to keep the them all in the 10 9 and 8 ring with boring regularity. Shit even when I wasnt paying to much attetion to trigger control.

Mate that is sweet.
Thats what mine was supposed to look like, the threaded barrel never turned up so I got the non threaded version. I still have the muzzle brake I brought in anticipation.
I ended up putting a small burris fastfire on mine and then took it off again, I remembered after putting it on why I hate them so much, they are a POS. I will put on my Hakko red dot instead now I have a rail fitted. I will post a pic again when done.
Yours pistol, she is a thing of beauty!

Ruger Vaquero in .357. The original series, not the newer lighter ones. I would like to have had Colts...but out of my price range. I bought one of them back during the "Bush" tax rebate...what around 2002? I have three boys and took the rebate and bought each a Ruger Vaquero so we could all have the "same" gun but tailored around what we wanted so far as stainless or blue, short or long barrel, etc. So..since we had that $400/child rebate I decided to stimulate the economy and added one for me. The other one came on father's day in a purse the wife bought....
One of them really shoots off a bit and I'd like for both to be slicked up.

I guess it depends on what type of party I am going to.

This is where I should have posted the pics that are on Downrange Cafe, but here is my BBQ gun. It's a Rossi .357 mag, model 971 in stainless. It's ported, engraved and a darned fine shooter.

Not really that big of a fan of open carry and/or BBQ guns, but I did wear this a few years ago to a ASRPA dinner: My Father-In-Law's S+W K22, in his holster. Not that purty to look at, but it's seen more of the Tonto National Forest than most rabbits have.
But seeings how I live in a free state, on those rare occasions I do open-carry, I want to do it right. I'm buying good leather later this year to show off my Pre-B CZ75 when I do open-carry.

Starting to open-carry more often, so I thought I'd get a rig that looks good when people can see it.

Red, do you have any gunsthat aren't blue? :)
Majer,
Nice Ruger, I'm a sucker for blued single actions with stag grips, especially old models.
