Local bar or online dating ;)
-
Bar,,,, duh! Can't touch online!! ;)
-
Congratulations. I'n sure the two of you will be very happy together.
He's pretty, but can he type? (note clever reference to a "Chicago type writer.")
A few years ago I shot one full auto at a machine gun shoot. What a hoot! It was my favorite, right behind the Ma-Duce.
-
That's the one 'Tommy' that I'd go on a date with........ ;D
Nice, Red.
-
That is beautiful, Red.
Fluted barrel, vertical fore grip, nice wood everywhere, drum magazine, compensator.
Almost everything on everyone's checklist for a Tommy.
Only thing I don't see is the Violin Case?
Very nice.
-
Very sweet red, is this for you or that fella that got the M1A??????
Either way congrats!!!!!!

Silly TW, he's got an M1A, and Red what could he possibly need a Tommy for since it can't run the Lawn mower. ;D

Very nice, Red.
How about some details. Is this a true 1928? What accessories? And the big question ... how much?

Not with that length barrel. I think the originals had 10.5" barrels.
Still would be fun to play with! ;D

Very nice!!!

I don't know all the variations, that's why I asked.
-
The 16 inch barrel gives it away as a semi auto reproduction from Kahr Arms (They bought Auto Ord )
-
Yes, looks like the T1 or T5 model.
Built about twenty minutes south of where I'm sitting!
-
It says Auto-Ordinance Corporation, model 1927 A1 and it has the Thompson bullet logo on it. It came with the long hard case :) and a regular magazine also. The next purchase is the violin case, that's a must have!! It's mine, all mine.....I let the old man have the M1 Carbine that came with it. He doesn't care.....he has his M1A!!! Both guns cost me a thousand bucks, but it was worth it because I think Tommy is way cool!!
-
Auto Ordnance, owned by Kahr Arms in Worcester just south of me here in central MA, makes the reproductions of the Thompson. Auto Ordnance is the original maker of the Thompson. They make M1 Carbine repops and 1911's as well!
Did you get the aluminum lightweight or the standard?
-
Both for $1k ? You got a steal.
Think of it as you paid a lot for the Thompson and got the Carbine free.
-
Careful red how you throw out long hard case,....we have high standards for describing exceptional firearms,.....but the cases they come in?
We are simply shameless... ::)
More pics please.... 8)
and a range vid,....still waiting on the M1A range report,...(it's not too cold now is it?)........
Get the ol' man to the range with a box of boolets, and bring some .45's for Tommy...Would really enjoy seeing them run...
After my BAR exp., I just love those era guns!!!..
-
Very nice! Can't beat all steel and Walnut.
-
Hello Tommy!
Way cool
-
It's a beauty.
-
Ok, now I have everything I need for it. ;D

TOES!!!! I SEE RED'S NAKED TOES!!! (I hope those aren't your guys) ;D ;D
The rest is pretty nifty too.
Gonna get into Zoot Suit Shooting?
-
Nice pedicure.
And you're ready to go make some "music".
Very cool, red. You're the envy of DRTV.
-
Really cool addition Red. Got to shoot one last year at our Boy Scout Venturing Crew gathering. Could not believe how heavy those things are! No recoil and dead on target.
