A fella on another forum and I swapped grip frames, my birds head for his standard plow handle, and it is like having a new gun! He liked the birds head, I like the regular grip. I like the look of the birds head, but my big ole hands did not care for them at all. Heck, even my wife hated them. So, I think I might be shooting the ole .45 more in the future.

She's purdy!
And I know what you mean. I changed up the grips on my .357 and I was fondling it for days like I had just got a brand new gun. It was great! And far cheaper then buying a new piece.

Never did like the bird's head frams. As you say, too small.
She's looking good now, you need to take her out and show her off!

Uh, Gunman, If that's a 4&5/8ths barreled Vaquero Ruger only made about 500 Birdheads gripped guns in that configuration, You may want to see if you can get the original grip frame back and buy the standard gripframe from Ruger so you can swap it back if you ever decide to sell it.
