Whoa there pardner. I'm a little confuse and sometimes all the legalize at those links just doesn't make sense to a bear of little intellect like me.
What exactly would the bill have permitted? Outlawed?
I read IL residents could buy ammo mail order, BUT would have had to provide the seller with all sorts of ID?
Prohibit semi-autos in .50 cal?

Subjects of Il, (and NJ and other affected states) were pussies to begin with to tolerate this "permission to buy" crap.
You, (or your parents) gave away your rights and have little room to complain.
Can't blame the politicians either.
It was you voters who keep putting them there.
the few actual "citizens" can complain all they want, there are no consequences for the politicians.
You'll vote for some one else ? Sounds just like anti Nuke sanctions against Iran.
And just about as effective.
Wanna buy some rope ?

This is what I get when I do an image google search for "Illinois governor election results by county":

the original bill clarified that it's leagal to buy ammo mail order from within the state
Quinn was going to veto it anyways but twisted the 'ammending veto' to completly re-write the law
It has no chance to pass but is pretty much Quinns way of poking gun owners in the eye
