Post by: gunman1911 on April 16, 2008, 09:34:52 PM
As you all probably know I work in a casino as a security/EMS officer and this is my place to go to wind down a lot after a bad day and all of you have been just great with your responses to me. So I knew you need to hear about this one. about 0200 on 4/14/08 I got a medical call to the night club of a medical nature and the thing that ran through my mind were " gee I am glad its not a fight again, and get your bag and O2 and move your fat ass! Well I mostly have to deal with a diabetics, heart problems, panic attacks Breathing problems etc. but not that night ,oh no! Mom is doing better than dad, the baby boy weighs about 9 lbs 8 oz and is doing great. And I am still calming down! ;D

Congrats on the assist. Big kid too. Mom and Dad still get the whole score, but nice work on your part.

Did you leave him with a complimentary copy of Shooting Times or American Rifleman??   ;D

Having lurked around this forum for a few months and enjoying your posts, gunman1911 (along with the other forum regulars, like "YOUR NAME HERE"), your post has brought me to registering just to say thanks for sharing that.

Thanks!

Congrats on your Stork pin! I was in EMS and Fire Service for 13 years and saw too much of everything. The good calls are rare and worth remembering.

I'm raising one to whom I have passed that philosophy.  Some times it is real irritating being hoisted by one's own petard!  ;D

Actually  she will take a FMLA and he is still going to work .But they have mad military personnel by taking their PTO when they go do their duty and treating them as bad as they could until a certain couple of SFC. I work with got deployed and when my Security Director got stupid with them  and not only did they bring in a copy of the laws but also had their company commander call who spoke with the General Manager and out right told him that the tribe could loose their sovereignty and their casino unless they started to follow the letter  of the law NOW! I like watching people eat pie! ;D

The FMLA is what I was refering to. They both are going to be working harder than they ever got paid to for the next 18 years or so. Glad to hear your employer got reamed for messing with the troops   ;D
