I may even go the the theater for this one.... naw... but I will buy the Blu Ray when it comes out and I haven't bought a movie in years. 8)

The funny part for me is they wanted to film the city scenes in an area that looked like a war-zone and my parents bitched that they kept blocking the street behind their house in Detroit.

Boy, that kind or realism can only add to the quality of the movie ;D ;D

They originally had the movie finished and the bad guys were the ChiComs. Due to pressure from the Chinese, they changed it to North Korea.
Bunch a limp wristed hollywood sissies.

I've been trying to come up with a smart assed comment about being invaded by a country of 25 Million.
If the entire population came over only one in 4 gun owners would even get a shot.

Initial reviews say its OK.........this newer version has a more PC,.....don't want to "offend" too many approach. As they heavily added CG action, (computer generated) as opposed to later dubbed Chinese to N. Korean subtitles,....
We'll see.... Hollywood lost its originality years ago, and now just re"do's" of previous successful films......

Like Porsche,...
There is no substitute....
I'll keep the original....
BECAUSE WE LIVE HERE!!!!!

Here's an alternative to the impending lameness and PC-ness of the RD2 remake:

"...Duke and his family must use all their wits and the unlikely help of an illegal immigrant to survive this frightening scenario where food and water become as scarce as their dwindling freedom."
Yeah, I wonder why they lack funding? ::)

Maybe because the illegal alien got Dukes former job for half the pay ?

The NKS? Seriously? They'd have to hock the country and fly South West to get here. The Real Wolverines would have kicked their asses 30 minutes into the movie. ;D That said, I'll probably watch anyway, but in my day, when we got invaded, at least it was by a real country. ;D
FQ who shouldn't have bought so much ammo if that's the worst I have to worry about. Kids today..........

FQ, in the original Red Dawn the actual invasion was carried out by Cubans and Nicaraguans.
Just like with North Korea, deer hunters would have to sign up for a lottery make it fair since if they shipped in their entire populations there would only be 1 target for every 5 - 10 shooters.

Re-rent the movie philistine! The Cuban was the voice of conscience, the real bad guys were the Russkies (the latinos just wanted a green card ;D). As to the lottery system? You're right, anyone want some AR mags and 5.56? ;D

The scariest part of the remake is that EMP like weapon that knocks out the electricity.
For a lot of people, no electricity = no facebook = :o
