I've got 3 that are about even. My Rock Island Government model, my Taurus 617, and my GLOCK 30. Oh and thers my Ruger P90. and the 45-70 BFR..... Who am I kidding?!? I can't pick a favorite!!!! Favorite rifles are my 2 SKS's. One standard Norinco with a folding stock, and one 16 in barreled SKS-D (Also Norinco) that takes AK Mags. The short one would be my favorite of the 2.
Ones I'd like to have?
KAHR PM45
GLOCK 21
Kimber Compact Stainless 2
Para Ordnance LDA's. One of the Para Carry .45's especially (Except I don't want that scalloped front strap.).
A J Frame .357.
Charter Arms Bulldog .44.
One I'd like to have back, is a Taurus 450 Ti Titanium .45 Colt that was stolen from me. If I still had it it'd probably be my daily carry.
-
Glock 19
Glock 26
1911 Commander Length
SA XD 4" .45
Ruger Redhawk .41
Least Favorite....Jennings, Hipoint, Cobra, Llama, Star, Tokorev (sp?), Tech 9, Old style Ruger semi auto's (P85, P89. P90 ect), and not a Beretta fan ergo's wise. Dont hang me for this.

A favorite gun is the same as a favorite golf club, a favorite niece or nephew, it depends on how many you have to chose from and what you want to do with them.

Nice collection!!
-
Gun lust..... thats all I can say
-
IT'S A TOSS BETWEEN MY S.H.T.F. PIECES. MY "OLD RELIABLE" RUGER POLICE SERVICE SIX, OR MY S&W 3914 DAO "LITTLE SMITTY". HOWEVER THE LATTER GETS BONUS POINTS SINCE IT'S SMALL ENOUGH TO ALWAYS BE ON MY PERSON. THESE QUALIFY AS MY FAVORITE SINCE I COULDN'T LIVE WITHOUT THEM (NO PUN INTENDED). ALL THE OTHER VAULT OCCUPANTS ARE SIMPLY FOR RECREATION.
-
It seems that my CZ 75B is my favorite...who'd a thunk it. ::)
-
my favorite gun is th glock 30......... its nice and compact and easy to handle......
-
When it comes to hand guns, its a toss up between a gov and a commader length.
-
My Norinco 1911 clone was my favorite. I had modified it for IDPA competition, but stopped shooting last year. I made the mistake of giving it to my oldest son ( well, not really a mistake ). Now I guess my Favorite would be my Ruger 44MAG Bisley. Well, at least this week.
-
(http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u261/PicSnic/1911withHolster2.jpg) My RIA / Ed Brown / Dura Coat
-
My current favorite is a Sig CSR 1911. It is just so solid and shoots so good that it's become my go to gun.
-
M&P45, SW1911, M&P9c
-
My sentimental favorite would have to be the first duty weapon that I carried as a slick-sleeved police department rookie. It was a Smith & Wesson Model 66 .357 magnum with a 4-inch barrel. Nothing like that stainless steel beauty to fight off the elements that it encounters everyday in an open holster. And yes, I AM an old fart!!
*sigh*
Thanks for the memories!!
-
Everyone xcan hate me but I have to say my SW99 is my favorite. I would however love to have a SW 4506!!!!!
-
A few of my favorites. The did something to my last pic.
-
Hey, Mr .45, read your messages. I see a 4506 in your future.
Mac.
(SW990L, .40 cal, is my baby.)
-
I just got one that's quick becoming a favorite. Kimber BP Ten II with Night sights. I carried it to church tonight. ;D 14 + 1 rounds of .45 ACP Goodness. It came with two 14 round mags, and one neutered 10 round magazine. I got it used at the gun show yesterday. The barrel was so caked with powder residue it made it look like the rifling was ruined. First thing when I got home, gave it a good cleaning and the bore is in very good shape. I like this gun a lot so far. Carries very comfortably in the Don Hume PCCH IWB holster Which I can also carry my RIA Government model in.
-
Sentimental favorite is my Wilson Master Grade .45 I shot competition with for years and years. Has been refinished...was and is a great gun!

Sentimental all time fave- the Smith and Wesson Model 66 - just like my Uncle Lou carried on the Chicago Police Force.
Current fave, Glock 21. What can I say, I've been subsumed by the Polymer side of the force.

My XD-40 Tactical, because I shoot it the best and not a single malfunction after 1000s of rounds. Its also been run over by a truck and is still running strong.
-
If I had to pick one to be my only pistol it would have to be a Glock 19. It is a great weapon, reliable, light, compact and goes bang every time you pull the trigger. Load it up with Winchester Ranger 127g +P+ ammo and you are ready for a decently large set of zombies. I generally carry its little brother Glock 26 with same Winchesters and a set of CT grips in a VM2 holster with a G19 spare mag and spacer. That gives me 26 rounds of really decent stopping capability.
-
It would be a toss up between my FNP9M and my High Standard Mil Spec 1911
-

Ok, you are going to need to tell us the story about how that happened. I sure as hell hope you didn't do that on purpose (torture test).

Hope you were not HOLDING it when that happened ;D ouch!

Colt series 70 1911 Govt.,Colt Series 80 LW Commander 2Tone, Springfield Micro Compact 1911 all worked on by Sgt Maj Andy Anderson at Andy's Custom Guns
Oh yeah, my Purple People Eater-a Colt Series 80 Combat Commander w/Bar-Sto barrel that Andy built for me and armorcoated the same shade of purple as a Crown Royal bag!
I'll post pics soon...
-
Story and pics on XDTalk.com:
Pics made me cringe a little. :'( Have you contacted Springfield Armory with your "torture test" story??? That would make a nice magazine ad for them.

Passed the story along and scored some hats and shirts from them.

S&W 28-2, was passed down from my grandfather, the first centerfire pistol I ever shot. He had several guns but this is the only one I wanted. It has a great feel to it , gotta watch that single action trigger pull though.

Is that the "Highway Patrolman" model ? Or was that the 27, my Dad bought one 35 years ago and like you it was the first center fire pistol I ever shot, since then except one .22 ALL my revolvers have been .357.
-
The 27 & 28 were basically the same gun, except for finishes. The 27 had a polished finish while the 28 aka Highway Patrolman was more of a flat finish, although I have seen some that were polished.
-
I recently bought a M-28-2 from a retired DPS Trooper. It showed a lot of character and shoots great !
-
4.25" S&W, M&P .45 auto ;D and a tauras pro-millenium 3" .45 auto and many others
-
my sentimental favorite is my first 1911 Colt Gov't .45 ACP nickel plated.
my "safe queen" is a Springfield Combat model with all the trimmings.
my "go-to" gun is my Colt 1991A1 Commander in .45 ACP. She's been eatin' hardball and Cor-Bon JHP's for over 15 years and a lot of miles and still going strong. She ain't the prettiest but she's always been there. and she's fun to dance with too!!!!!!
Finally got pics:
-
I would have to go with my Nighthawk Custom Talon 5" 1911. The gun is spec-ed out exactly like the Heinie Tactical Carry produced by Nighthawk except I had it finished in the super durable Diamond Black finish....saved quite a few dollars that way.
A close second is my like new 1969 4" Colt Python...a work of art, but alas a safe queen.
-
You know, I've got to say the "Ultimate 10/22" I won right here on DownRange.TV.
Haz, I'm really not picking on you.

Colt Offical Police 5" in .38 Special. It was my Grandfather's , my Father's and now it is mine. It will still shoot one ragged hole with wadcutters at ten yards even with my poor shooting. My second favorite is a well worn S&W Model 15 with 4" barrel.

I can see why it would be your favorite even if it did not shot accurately. ;)
-
I've got to say my Glock 20 10mm. I can shoot it well and it has a heck of a lot of firepower with full house loads but it is still a blast with the light loads.
-
Handgun favorites,
Colt 1911
S&W Model 19
Colt Python
S&W Model 28 (bought in 1973, still going strong)
Rifles
Olympic Arms AR15
Sako, .270 Win
Ruger #1, .270 Win
Shotgun
Beretta Over/Under
-
My favorite at this time is my XD.45 Tatical. This will be up for grabs tomorrow after I aquire my new XDM.40 in BiTone with Fiber optic sights...... Hopefully I will get to run a couple rounds through her to see what it is made of! ;D
-
So far, my favorite is my Kimber Custom II. Granted, it's half the collection at the moment, but it seems to fit my hand well, and I'm almost not atrocious with it.

Extremely well put but far too modest I'll wager.

Anything that I lust over but can't afford at this time ::)
-
My favorite is probably my Glock 21, with the grip reduction, at my side all the time and because it's there, I have shot more stuff with it more than any other pistol I own. Snakes, squirrels, opossums, jack rabbit and cottontail, Deer, and them pesky cardboard critters.
Other favorites, like your children you got to give them all equal love.
My 6" 686, with over 60k rounds through it.
model 41 S&W, with 2 barrels and it is absolutely accurate.
S&W 940, daily pocket gun, but with 147 grain bullets is a bet winner.
S&W 5" 625, love it. May shoot it Saturday at the personal protection match, by the way you can't shoot it in IDPA.
My Para LDA C7, I may shoot it as well.
Rifle, My 788 Remington in 7mm08, and .222, both shoot better than they have a right to.
My fiberglass stocked model 7, in 7mm08, 6 pounds with scope and a single set trigger, so much fun to carry and it shoots good.
Both my M40 sniper rifles, absolute accuracy out to 1000 yards.
All 6 of my AR'S, tuned and shoot good.
My Sako, .338 win mag, weird, off the bench it won't shoot unless you really lean on it, out in the field, it never misses.
My standard grade M1A, with national match sights, I do truly believe, if I can see it, I can hit it.
Shotgun, My 1187, premier, and then my 2 870's always work. I have a Benelli super 90 M1, but I don't like the recoil impulse.
My favorite field gun, because I don't miss much with it, is an Italian Silma, 12 guage, imported by Legacy sports, these were available at Academy, for around 550-600 bucks and a bargain.
-
M25Operator, when in the world do you find time to eat?? You're a one man Army. Keep up the good work,
Mac.

WORK?? If you call only having one FTF a good mag and two or three FTFs per mag normal then yeah, mine 'works'. ::)
IT'S A POS!

This week!
;)
(I'll go back to a pistol after Sunday)
-
Pistol:
Stoeger Cougar 8040 - It just runs and I can actually hit the side of a barn with it. (From the inside)
S&W M&P 9c
Ruger LCP - Because I have it with me, always.
Rifle:
My Colt AR15 HBAR
Browning BL-22 - My first gun and still the one I shoot the best.
Shotgun:
Remington 870 - Never fails me.
-
My dads single shot springfield .22 rifle, he got it out of a sears robuck catalog in the 40s I carried it for years until I got a marlin.
-
Just got a S&W 649 in .357 Mag, which I've been wanting for 10 years. Has quickly become my favorite carry gun. ;D
-
It's too hard to pick one. Some days my 10/22 is my favorite and other days one of my .45s is. Other days it's something else.
-
S&W M19
Ruger No. 1
M2 Carbine
-
GLOCK 23 w/TFOs ;D

I don't think I originally posted in this thread, so here's my entry:
S&W 686 (old model) 8-3/8" barrel -- all original-no modifications:
I'm fond of it because I shot IHMSA with it and once (one time mind you......lot's of luck involved) I cleaned 5 rams standing at 200m. Not typical, but my unforgettable moment in shooting.
and in case you're wondering why I was shooting the revolver standing, I didn't have enough .357Max ammo for both production and standing that day. I didn't want to shoot .357mag in my T/C because I didn't where to adjust the sights, so I went with the revolver for standing.
-
All right, this week;
;D
