Question of the Day: Do We Need Fewer Armed Police?
Posted on February 3, 2012 by Robert Farago

You might say we need more hot cops. And who am I to argue? But today’s question is about quantity, not quality. Are there too many cops? Make the jump for the list of federal police agencies cribbed from the hive mind at Wikipedia. You know it’s going to be as long as a kissing booth line for Marisa Miller, with some not unexpected weirdos amongst them (Library of Congress?). For those of you on the fence about the wisdom of the post-911 militarization and expansion of the U.S. law enforcement industry, ask yourself this: is America in danger of slipping into a police state simply because we have so many police with nothing much to do? Remember: the list below is restricted to federal police. Don’t forget to add in your city, state and county cops.

You might say we need more hot cops.

It's too early in the morning to do all that reading, so I did what I usually do and just read the first sentence as a summary.

I couldn't agree more.  We definitely need more hot cops.  Blondes and redheads, preferably.

I never had Latin, but I knew there was a famous quote on the subject.
What I googled was "Who shall watch the watchers".
Apparently they are to busy trying not to trip over each other to watch much of anything.

Its eery to see some of the things attributed to communist/dictatroships going on in the US that I heard about as a kid.

We vote these people in, or those that appoint them.  How much more will we take?

The sheep will probably take quite a bit more unless some one preempts "Dancing With The Stars", then you'll see blood in the streets.   :-\
The thing nobody understood at the time, and still don't get now, is that the "Cold War" was not between nations.
The fall of the Soviet Union meant nothing since the enemy , advocates of Marxist philosophy, were already here, worming their way into positions of power in education, media, and politics, all under the guise of "liberalism".
They even openly call themselves "progressives" which has been a euphemism for "communist" ever since Karl Marx used it that way in his writings.
