I just heard Gen. Boykin on Glenn Beck talking about the nutcase du jour over at the Family Research Council building in D.C.
His comments included pointing out that the guy had "50 Rounds".
If I carry the G-17, I carry 52 rounds.
Why is this part of the story particularly remarkable to people who (I think) ought to realize that it isn't?
Just wondering...
-
I "only" have 40 rounds with me, 45 ACP JHP. ::) Much more than that at times if I'm going to the range after work.
In the Army while guarding our "facility" we carried 108 rounds (still don't know why we didn't fill the magazines to capacity). How many did the guard have? Or a regular street cop?
Come on people cure your ignorance!

I HIGHLY doubt that the guard was even armed, so the poor bastard probably didn't have any! :'(
"friggin' DC!" :-[

EDC for me is a 1911 with 25 rounds. I don't carry the Glock but I'm equipped to do so if I want..
I just don't get why "50 rounds" is such a boogie man thing..
Boykin mentioned it today and Tony Perkins (former AG of Virginia) mentioned it yesterday.
I know I'm more sensitive about the topic, generally because of reasons we're all aware of here.
I just wonder if they're feeling like they need to play the victim card and are using things that they've been brainwashed to mention..
Yesterday they mentioned in a different story that Cops in CA took 100 rounds (fired) to take down some Mulsim teen. That, to me is a much more extraordinary story..

OH my God ! He had a WHOLE BOX of ammo ?
Why would any one need such an arsenal !
Maybe because you can't buy the f**king things one at a time. ::)

An honest man only needs 10 rounds....or so some prick with an agenda said once.
-
Who carries exactly fifty rounds?
Someone that just bought the gun and a single box of ammo.

Even then it's only between the cash register and the range.
Among the reasons I threw away all my ammo boxes was the obsession that I had to fill every square. Zip lok bags solved that problem. I've gone to small coffee cans, btw, for moon clips.
90 rounds per can for .45 & 80 for .357. But who's counting.

That should read... "A man amongst honest men only needs 10 rounds." Considering I have no control of that, I'll start with 16 and refill as needed.
