Title: I'm not alone..
Post by: santahog on August 28, 2012, 07:35:55 PM
I just read an article that mentioned the Secret Services name for Romney.
They call him "Mannequin"....
After my early rants about him, I thought I might throw in a little validation..  ::)

Regarding the SS...The Baker that refused a prestigious Joe Biden visit at his humble bakery shop,. while wearing a Romney shirt, was not only visited, but a consumer of said baker's doughnuts by the SS.

They have a job to do. One most of us will never know.

If Romney is the "Mannequin" so be it,...keep him protected...and remember, BHO, will have SS protection for the rest of his life, even if he loses the election.

It's a Class III job, with all the entitlements. and yes they do have access to the "good stuff"...   The Reagan "Uzi" vid comes to mind after he was shot,....

They changed that law. ('96?)
I think BJ was the last prez with lifetime SS protection. Now they get 10 years....so Bwhore's protection would only cover 1/2 of a 20 yr sentence.

In 1965, Congress authorized the Secret Service (Public Law 89-186) to protect a former president and his/her spouse during their lifetime, unless they decline protection. In 1997, Congress enacted legislation (Public Law 103-329) that limits Secret Service protection for former presidents to 10 years after leaving office. Under this new law, individuals who are in office before January 1, 1997, will continue to receive Secret Service protection for their lifetime. Individuals elected to office after that time will receive protection for 10 years after leaving office. Therefore, President Clinton will be the last president to receive lifetime protection.

Pres. BJ needs it,... ::)

In regard to presidential campaign, the Secret Service is authorized by law (18 United States Code ยง 3056) to protect:

Major presidential and vice presidential candidates and their spouses within 120 days of a general presidential election. As defined in statute, the term "major presidential and vice presidential candidates" means those individuals identified as such by the Secretary of Homeland Security after consultation with an advisory committee.

The Secret Service provides protection for major candidates, unless declined.

The Secret Service has no role in determining who is to be considered a major candidate. The Secretary of the Homeland Security determines who qualifies as a major candidate and when such protection should commence under the authority of Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056.

What a curious response..  ???
You know the validation I was talking about was from my calling Romney a Mannequin back in the spring, right?

I would have gone with "Mittens," myself.

Mannequin is fine, though.

He'll still get my vote in November.

And Santa, you were/are absolutely right about him not being a terribly expressive person.

Are voting for a President that will unf*ck the economy ?
Or are you looking for a new best friend ?
Get your priorities straight, it doesn't matter if he's a miserable pr!ck as long as he does the job properly.

Or as Chris Christie once said, "I was sent here to do a job, not to be elected Prom King."
