One MAJOR thing I don't understand about the "Affordable Care Act":  If healthcare is too expensive now (and it is), how is it going to be cheaper after adding in several layers of government bureaucracy?

It's easy, TT.

It works like this.

Say a medical service provider now charges $100 for a procedure.  Under the ObamaCare, that provider will only be able to charge $50.  A 50% reduction in the cost.

There will be a government imposed surcharge of $150 for that procedure, but think of all the jobs it is providing....and you no longer have to worry about finding the best health care provider to meet your particular needs....all taken care of.

If BHO and the minions really wanted folks to be able to afford health insurance, they could knock a big dent in the problem by opening up  interstate trade to increase competition among insurance companies.

For example, in Georgia, if you buy a policy from Blue Cross, it has to be 'Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Georgia'. You can't go outside of the state to another BC-BS (such as Alabama) that may be cheaper for the same policy.

Also, many doctors and hospitals restrict what insurance they will accept.....which also limits options.

A few regulation changes and it would be a different game.

My wife is on medicare at the moment.  We're having a heck of a time finding physicians that accept the coverage.  We really don't want more government anything...
