IMHO, I hope Hasan prefers the "hard" way.....I think an old dull straight razor, dry, no water and no shaving cream. But that's just me.

FORT HOOD, Texas – The Army psychiatrist charged in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting rampage must be clean-shaven or will be forcibly shaved before his murder trial, a military judge ordered Thursday.
Beards are a violation of Army regulations, and soldiers who disobey orders to get rid of facial hair can be shaved against their will. Gross repeatedly has said Hasan's beard, which he started growing in jail this summer, is a disruption to the court proceedings.

If they are shaving him dry with a straight razor lets hope they define " clean shaven" to include the Brittney Spears look and give the razor to a guy with a bad cold. "Achoo" "Oops, sorry your honor" ;D

Seems more to me that they're saying he's a soldier and he has to live up to that commitment, whether or not he considers himself some kind of jihad ass pirate. I think they're just busting his balls.

I volunteer to shave the PIG , although I may slip and save the taxpayers lots of money. Besides , soldiers are not permitted beards, so why does he have one?

I actually sat on a jury back in 2003 for an inmate who was suing the Ga DOC for giving him a haircut and shave.
The thing that weighed out in the case was the fact that, by his own actions over a long period of time, he had ended up at the bottom-of-the-bottom, end of the line prison in the DOC for the "trouble" inmates that just wouldn't follow the rules and behave. The prison he was at was the one for the hard-cases and so-called tough-nuts....... and the rules were more strict on how the inmates were allowed to groom themselves. In essence, inmates were required to keep military-length hair and no facial hair (other than mustaches). This guy refused to follow the rules, but didn't seem to get the fact that his own actions, at other prisons, was what landed him there in the first place. He wouldn't voluntarily get a haircut or shave and after a few months warning, the warden had 6 DOC officers take him to the barber and had it done.
The funny thing is, he didn't physically resist, and there was no violence.......but he sued because he said that it violated his civil rights.
He didn't win.
