Short answer.   NO!
Do not trust anything they say with out verifying it.

FactCheck.org is a non-partisan,[1] nonprofit[2] website that describes itself as a "'consumer advocate' for voters that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics."[3] It is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, and is funded primarily by the Annenberg Foundation.[3] FactCheck has won three Webby Awards in the Politics category, in 2008, 2010 and 2011

Overview

The Annenberg Foundation continues its historic programming focus, but is expanding to include environmental stewardship, social justice, and animal welfare. The Foundation continues to evolve from a traditional grantmaking institution to one that is actively involved in the community.

It's pretty much an Obama front.
The Annenberg Foundation funnels money to the Joyce Foundation which used to employ Barack Obama and funds most of the anti gun groups.

The stuff I have seen its 50/50.   I have not seen a lean left or right, but they do seem to pick and choose what they "check"

Agreed. I don't think they are biased in their research, that is to say that the results tend to legit. The bias lies in what they choose to research and what they just ignore. But that's true for anyone. When someone says what you want to hear, you tend to nod and say Ok. When they something you disagree with, you want to call them on their BS and go to the trouble of getting the facts. Its human nature.
