I'm sure we've all seen the stories about gun sales being on the up tic and how firearms makers' stocks are trading upward. (Why didn't I buy some S&W and Ruger last week? Duh.) So in today's Marietta Daily Journal (GA) Henry Rifle has a 1/4 page ad on Page 3, front section. Since they're not a local company I assume these ads are running in a number of papers across the country, though they might be targeting "gun and bible" states. I do live in the same county as the mandatory gun-owning city of Kennesaw.

Just a note on gun sales data which is based on NICS.
Having just received a Mauser in the mail with my C&R, I got to wondering how many added transfers there might be if you add those in.
Not to mention in a lot of states no NICS is done if you have a CCW. I don't think I've ever had a NICS done on any of my purchases.

I actually saw a Henry ad on tv the other day...can't remember what channel it was. Made in America. Good for them...gun ads on tv can only be good.

Is it legal to watch them in NJ ?

Agreed! I don't care if they don't sell a single rifle, its worth the $$$ to remind people that guns are normal products, and yes we can advertise on TV. If I had the cash I'd buy one (even though I've never wanted one) just to support that effort. I hope Glock and Daniel Defence follow suit. "I've fallen, but I can still put 17 rounds in your ass. Screw Life Alert, buy a Glock/AR.". ;D
