Well I finally decided on a new 1911 that would be used as a shooter along with the rest of my clan. I ordered the WWI 1911 in the high polish blue. So I figure it would take a couple of weeks to come in. I called my Dealer on Friday and was told it would not be in for 8 months ???. WTF. The reason I chose this model because I like the look of the old commercial Colts. Seeing as they are made for Cimarron by a reputable company in the Phillipines I did not think there would be any kind of supply issues. I am tempted to write to Cimarron to find out what is up with the delay and if it was normal. I use a local dealer in PA that has a small shop instead of the big box stores Like Cabella's or Gander Mountain to support a reputable local buisness.

Cancel the order and get a Rock Island Armory, they are the same gun made by the same company. Armscor.

Hey Tom
As much as they are a great bargain the ones you posted are A1's. The one I want is like the 1918 model. I did find a place in Texas that has one in stock so I will give the info to my dealer. Hopefully it is still available tomorrow.

I'm not familiar with this place, but they claim to have 12 parkerized ones in stock.

I don't know how close you are to a Cabela's, but they have the high polished blue model in stock quite frequently. You could call and find out.
