I picked this off of The Blaze.
An excerpt:
“What we’ve learned – if we just put more gun laws in place, it doesn’t actually stop criminals from getting guns and committing these crimes,” Ryan said. “This is why we need economic growth, this is why we need education reform.”
Ryan also argued that the nation needs to be focused on solving the “problems of civil society.”
“Does this country have a gun problem?” the interviewer asked.
“This country has a crime problem,” Ryan replied.
“Not a gun problem?” the interviewer asked again.

Let me be provocative here. We do have a gun problem! Guns and ammunition are in short supply, causing the cost of purchase to go up! That's inflation and a tax on our second amendment rights. Then, the restriction on importation of guns violates our right to pursuit of happiness. Then the biggest problem is the denial of our right to maintain a "well regulated militia"! And by that I mean allowing the people to have access to weaponry that is equal to or exceeds that available to our regular military. So, do we have a gun problem in this country? Yes, we do.

I like your thought process here. ;)

Please let Paul Ryan go on Piers Morgan's show. I'd love to see Ryan shut him up.

The sad reality there is a very large part of this country that only sees evil coming from a gun. when thats the only side you ever see, thats what you will think of a object. its the same with many other things that are "evil" . The objects themselfs are not evil, its the use/misuse there of that is evil. the very best thing we can do for gun rights is expose people to the use of guns in a proper fashion. while we will not convert every one to being a "gun person" at least we can give people a chance to make a informed choice.

I can't wait to see what Second City Cop's blog has on this. The zingers about 'Prickwrinkle' should be classic.
