I was in Walmart buying ammo, when I saw a stack of these books on the counter. I grabbed one, thinking it was one of their freebie handouts. When I got home I realized that it is a guide for their employees in the Sporting Goods department.
Most of the book was just info about the different models of guns that they sell. But it has a page at the beginning of the "Tactical" section that I found interesting.
- Modern Sporting Rifles are used for hunting
- MSR look different, but function the same as older guns
- AR does not stand for Assault Rifle, it stands for Armalite Rifle
- True assault rifles are fully automatic
Looks like the truth is getting mainstream despite the efforts of the liberal media.

Most of the media, do not understand any of the facts on that one page.

Shhhh. Don't let the word get around, but AR stands for the standard rifle used by our regulars. We irregulars should have the right to use it as well. Don't give Walmart too much credit as they are just bending to the lexicon of the anti-gun zealots who want to keep banning select fire from the people. Anything for a buck they say.

FIFY
Just because its in their training material meas nothing. Manager at ours has said to multiple people he only keeps ammo coming in because he can't stop it.

FWIW.... John Walton, son of Sam Walton, founder of WalMart, was a Special Forces Medic in VietNam, and was awarded the Silver Star .....

The book says first edition on the front, and I picked it up about a week ago after the guy just put it on the counter, so this is pretty new. Maybe this is in response to some of the complaints they've received, like the lady who wasn't allowed to buy the shotgun.
Whatever the reason, it was good to see.

First off the AR is not the standard issue, and never has been.
The Colt M -16 , generally based on the original Armalite design was adopted after the military tried a batch of Armalite's and required several changes, one being the addition of the foreward assist.
Secondly, they are not "bending to the lexicon of the anti-gun zealots ", if you reread the post you will see they are not only correcting misconceptions, they are using pro gun language (MSR ) to do it.

He got the medal in exchange for his legs.

Only problem with the book is that the majority of the clowns at wally world won't bother to read it...... and half the ones who do read it, won't comprehend it's meaning.

I watch "Who wants to be a Millionaire" every day, one thing I have noticed is that people tend to have no reasoning skills.
If they know the information they can answer multiple choice questions.
But if it is not a subject they are familiar with they are not able to come to a conclusion based on information given in the question.
This sort of nonmathmatical algebra is needed for making any sort of intelligent decision and most people seem to suck at it.

I'd be interested is seeing the questions. Do you know if they are available anywhere?
Thanks

I found it....well the online version. I now know that Julia Child liked red meat and gin.
I was wondering if the questions were designed to be answered with help from the information in the question.
Some were but not a majority of them. I was wondering if they had come out with a 'thinking Person's' game.
I also wondered if the clues were strong enough that the questions could be used to test for low IQ...

Thanks for correcting me Tom. I was referring to the common term AR as many of the civilian rifles are described that way no matter who manufactures them. I should have said the M-16, but then again I was issued an M4 and a 92FS. My point is the lexicon we are forced to use rules out our ability to acquire select fire weapons because the anti-gun advocates chip away at our rights as a free people. We people will always be outgunned if we allow them to define the weapon. Nothing in Walmart's handbook overturns or refutes that. So, in my mind, we never again achieve a well regulated militia status in this country. But what the hell, I'm a muzzle loader nut anyway!

Jeopardy?
I guess you have to think a bit more than coming up with the right answer....you have to remember to say "What is " in front of the answer. I guess it's a big deal to be able to remember that under all the pressure of being first with the answer.

Jeopardy?
Again, FaceBook, that one I play every day.
I don't like the online Millioniare, I had problems with it loading.
