...took 3rd Female overall! Or last Female overall ;D depends on how you look at it....
She did great though and didn't DQ, which 2 of the guys we took the Intro Class with did-one had his bugger hook on the bang switch and the other set his gun on a table before the RO command. We shot Limited Major with my XDM 45, because the Glock 26 is too small and I only have one magazine for it, so we bagged it and thrash reloaded magazines a couple of times (I only have 5 for the XDM). She has some work to do, mostly trigger control and flinching and she seems willing to do it only time will tell.
As for me, I took 2nd Limited Unclassified-my best performance yet (I slowed down a little and got better hits)!
The wife was whining about not having anytime with me on Saturday so I informed her she could come shoot too-half expecting a blunt NO but I got a "I suck and don't want to embarrass myself" instead. As most married guys know that is a ray of sunshine ;)
Now I need to talk to Grandpa and see if he is serious about sending an XDM 5.25 in 9mm down ;D

My dad "lent" me his G26 so my daughter could shoot USPSA with me... nah.... she's gonna use the clubs G17 and I need to get a IWB holster for a G26

My plans, up in smoke. Dad was looking to replace his G26 with a new pistol and asked me what he should get.... DING! And thats when I pu the idea of an XDM 5.25 in 9 for my daughter to shoot in USPSA was planted. He'll be down before Christmas so we can work up some hunting loads for his 270, -06 and 308 and see the grandkids during the holidays. I hope to have a Dillon 650 in the works by then

That is great. I shoot our local club matches with my 17 year old son and he is getting better much faster than I am. No surprise there! Hope she keeps it up. My son also really responds to how all the adults treat him as an adult.

Age has nothing to do with it, it's his conduct that matters.
I've known "kids" in their teens who were better workers, more mature than guys in their 40's that I worked with.

I agree Tom, but they are not my job! Raising him is and I really like the environment for raising a "fine young man" which has always been my goal since the first diaper change.

I look at this as an opportunity to spend some time with her and inoculate her against the pressure of her peers and our culture to go along to get along. There are the benefits of having someone to shoot and train with as well as getting her involved in something that gets us both out of the house on a regular basis as well as applying some pressure on my other kiddos to get involved when they see how much fun we have (and like I said before hopefully the wife too ;) )
There are a few other dad/kid teams out there and we are all having fun and making quick friends.

Are you sure you want to take your wife along? Isn't being beaten by your 17 yo going to be bad enough....but your wife too? LOL
