Shook the whole building.
Strongest one I've ever felt around here.

First I've felt since I moved out here in '82!

Lake Arrowhead, ME about 40 miles east of Laconia!

We've had several 1s and 2s, usually they are a rumble/slide type shock, this one was a sharper jolt although the vibrations continued for nearly a minute.
The others were usually centered around Tilton/Franklin just up the road.

I really don't miss those things!

6.9 and 7.2 when I was in SoCal.  I'll take a tornado any day over a quake.  I like to see what's coming after me.

I'm bad.  Always looking for holes in grammar.  I read that as you hadn't felt a movement since '82.

Maybe it's that Zumba brothel closing that you guys are feeling.

So Alf, You heard about that , did you ?   ;D
Best part of the story, the court released the names of 21 of the 100 clients, the rest are suing to keep their names private.
Only thing is, law suits are public documents that give the names of plaintiffs.  ;D

See I would rather have quakes then tornados.   I have seen the aftermath of both... A earth quake can't twist a 3' oak tree off from the base, but a tornado can.

Lake Arrowhead is Limerick & Waterboro.
My place was in Limerick.
I've got calls and emails in to everybody up there.. Talked to one friend in Limerick, just a few miles from Lake Arrowhead. The phone worked and the misses answered the phone.. I guess it was about 20 minutes post shake.. She was pretty shaken, but sounded fine..
I'm telling everybody to check water heater and oil/gas lines.. Glad you're okay, Tom..

The difference is that you can see and hear a twister coming.  You can take cover from a storm.  When the earth moves it just moves.  There is no where to go, and there is no cover to take.

I've been looking through news reports and I haven't seen anything about actual damage, just a little thrill for the locals.  ;D

You usually can't see them coming down here in Dixie Alley.

Yep.
They tend to just pop up from nowhere and bounce around..... at least the ones that hit here in southern Georgia. They pop in, do some really harsh damage in one spot, bounce up and over a few miles and mess up another spot and then just vanish.
